Just an FYI, if you don't mind the slow shipping option, you can get a Takara Barry from HLJ fo r almost 30 bucks less than the domestic online retailers. That's the route I went after discovering my stupid mistake. I still can't believe I didn't read the description.

I know, and the kicker? I took these pics like a week ago, and I can't even remember which us which.

It still really ticks me off that there is a KO out there almost as good as the original, and it was out around the same time as the original. How in the heck did they KO it so fast

For any fans still looking to obtain a Movie Masterpiece Barricade figure, it appears there's some good news for you! Seibertronian Cprime18 has noticed that MPM-5 is available for pre-order on Amazon's website, in case you still needed an avenue through which to obtain him.

The listing is from Amazon themselves - not a third-party listing - and is priced at $79.99 USD. The release date is set for the 15th of September, a little over a month from now. It's interesting to note that this figure is now apparently being sold by Amazon, since it was exclusive to Toys R Us in many other countries around the world (and potentially was intended to be TRU-exclusive within the US as well).

Movie Masterpiece:no thanks. BUT... here's hoping a Studio Series is in the pipeline along with Bonecrusher. I'd love to have a complete set of the 2007 movie characters.

Turns out this is a truly incredible toy, really love it. The best MPM by a country mile for me and a huge improvement over everythign we have gotten regarding the character.

I mean just look at these comparisons!

I bought this guy a few days ago on Amazon for $46! I was originally going to have to wait until my wedding anniversary in Feb to open him, but then my wife decided she wanted an electric shaver, so now I get Barricade for Christmas! Happy dance!

Today I learned that the big Barricade (Nitro?) from the Bumblebee movie is almost the same scale as MPM Barricade:







I'd like to find a similarly-sized Barricade from TLK, such as the OS Black Mamba, but that one's pretty plain.
