Hasbro has just revealed a large portion of the first wave of 2024's Studio Series figures at the current London show. These include:

Core Rumble from the opening of the Bumblebee movie, even though he was never seen.
Core Mohawk from The Last Knight
Deluxe Wheeljack from Rise of the Beasts
Voyager SS86 Scrapheap
Voyager Gamerverse Starscream from War for Cybertron
Leader Megatron from the opening of the Bumblebee movie, even though he was never seen. He is a triple changer, as was rumoured, with both a ground and air mode.

Mohawk looks awesome! Love how much detail he has for core class size, and he has a knife from the concept art!

Mohawk is the only one I’m interested in here, but I’m glad ROTB Wheeljack is licensed because hopefully it indicates TLK Dreadbot will be too!

Has anything been said about pre-orders yet? Out of these reveals, Mohawk is the only one I'm definitely buying, the motorcycle looks a bit clunky, but overall I like him. Scorponok is a maybe, mostly because I don't have a Predacon Scorponok in my collection right now. He'd stick out like a sore thumb on my Predacon shelf, but might look okay among my Movie Decepticons. I can always head-canon him to be an upgraded version of 2007 Scorponok.

Man, it is sad that the best reveal is a core class Mohawk.

Here are some of my thoughts on the other reveals.

BB Rumble: Like the look of it, but seems a bit redundant.

Mohawk: Looks perfect. Way better than the 3rd party one I have and will replace it.

Wheeljack: Looks great but will need to get an upgrade kit for his guns sadly.

Scropnok: love this guy. Will need 2-3 at least.

GE Starscream: Did they not get a paint budget for this guy? The sculpt looks great but the cockpit is too big and he is very bland.

Scrapheap: Hate this. Just another figure to shelf warm with junkyard.

Megatron: Not a fan of this either. Looks very simple. hopefully he makes up for it in height.

Overall, I will still get all of them lol

Mohawk: great
Rumble: would prefer the design from the motion comic
Wheeljack: want
Scorponok: want
Megatron: those altmodes suck

My cents:

- Mohawk, looks good but why? Who is asking for that best developed, deep and character arc driven character?
- Rumble, Yes, he's weird but Rumble's my fav g1 cartoon character so any version is good
- Starscream, he looks bad compared to the years old deluxe version. His chest looks way to big/dopey, they could've just upscaled and added detail/articulation. This is just money wasting
- Megatron looks sweet!
- I hope we get an Animated Optimus with faceplate soon, I like that better, otherwise I will get this one, only complaint is that the arms transform back and not to the sides like the original.

Bloody hell man, I'm a Transformers fan first, but also collect Masters of the Universe, Marvel, DC, Star Wars (I like Mission Fleet the best) Turtles, Gi Joe... the credits required for this hobby...

Me, I was asking for him! We need him to complete the Bay cast.

He was a pretty fun character in the movie, too! I would say he was certainly more developed than BB Megatron or Rumble who weren’t even in the movie xD

2nded.

You know what I didn't ask for? That big swing and a miss triplechanger Megatron.

I'm also passing on all others, though I will say that Starscream's jet mode looks pretty good. Shame they totally botched the robot mode. Also I might pick up that Animated Prime if a corresponding leader Megatron ever gets released. Now THAT should be a triplechanging leader, like the planned release we never got 15 years ago.

I am open to SS movie figures, and want to see better photos of Megatron's bot mode.
But the others are all easy passes for me.
If he's released early it looks like SS86 Scrapheap will be the last figure I get for the year.

Really surprised no one is talking about the core class Thunderwing in this pic. Hope we get a commander class of him in the near future

So happy with how Mohawk looks. Can't wait for the rest of the TLK cons!

Edit: with pics! Paint work is very nice

I was asking for him too and I think a bunch were to recreate that deccepticon crew in TLK. All I'm missing is a good dreadbot to recreate the team now.

Plus, Mohawk has an interesting design. I personally live bike formers for how sleek they can get (like animated Prowl, earthspark Thrash, ect)

We have many new images for the new Transformers Studio Series reveals. Below you will see official images of deluxe ROTB Wheeljack, deluxe ROTB Scorponok, and leader Bumblebee Movie Concept Megatron. There are also images from a behind the scenes look at voyager Gamerverse WFC Starscream and leader Megatron. The Starscream one is puzzling as it shows Hasbro had a very clear idea of what the toy was supposed to look like and somehow deviated wildly in the chest area.

The commentaries on each is below all the images.

“SS-109 Bumblebee Movie Concept Megatron

I am ecstatic to finally be able to share our Leader Scale Concept Megatron. We officially came across this oddity while sifting through the CAD files from the Bumblebee movie, and discovered a wonderful unused design for Megatron. Originally the story was going utilize Megatron being frozen in ice, to help bridge the continuity gap to the Bayverse films, but the scene was eventually dropped, and this design disappeared. Luckily for us, we thawed it out and I was thrilled to be part of the team to help bring this figure to life.

We got to work on a vehicle design for Megatron. Like the majority of the BB Cybertronian alt modes, we wanted to utilize details that were present on the bot form, but still prioritize maintaining the look that they had on screen without sacrificing them for fantasy alt modes. This strategy has had some mixed success, but each new figure feels like a welcome addition to the line. Knowing that theatrical Megatron arrived on earth as a cybetronian jet, and later a tank in the first two Bayverse films, I was split between what alt form was most appropriate, but aiming for a tripleformer seemed most appropriate. I enlisted @santalux75 to conceptualize some vehicle looks for each of the modes, which we were able to take inspiration from for the final design.

I was able to partner with Yuya Onishi at Takara, who worked his magic to deliver a truly uncompromised robot mode from what ever direction you look at it. The articulation for this figure is unmatched by any other Transformer that I’ve had the opportunity to work on you can see the love that went into making this definitive version of Megatron.

Megatron’s fusion cannon can be folded and stowed on the figures back, and can be positioned in a couple of different orientations between the two vehicle modes. The figure is packed full of a heritage deco scheme that was pulled directly from the concept art.”

“Hi Transformer fans!

I hope you all have been enjoying the Studio Series 2024 wave 1 reveals over at MCM London with @bmacatron84!

Next up for our Gamer Edition line is the WFC Starscream.

The figure comes courtesy of the marvelous Tomo san over at Takara Tomy.

Starscream comes equipped with his Null Ray and Energon mace, which were his starting load out on his levels. We’ve heard you all loud and clear and are making sure that all the WFC weapons going forward will also have a standard 5mm post so they can be held traditionally as well as being swapped on the arm.

I happen to have the older DLX TT figure for comparison and wanted to make sure everyone could see how we worked from the Game CAD.

Obviously, we enlarged the jet canopy slightly as that’s where the robot head and nose cone get stored during conversion.

He’s a very fun figure to play around with and I hope you all enjoy him as well!

Last thing to note is that his collar pieces are consumer assembled, so they come in the accessory tissue pouch. Just bringing it up so hopefully there isn’t any confusion when you open the box!

Hope you all have a great weekend~
-Evan”

The alt mode concept designs for Megatron remind me of TFA S4 Marauder Megatron. Or Beast Machines Tankor and Jetstorm. Instead we're getting RotF Megatron and Legacy Bomb-Burst. Don't get me wrong, it still looks good. I just like the concept designs better.

I'll have to see Megs in hand or atleast different angles

That tank alt-mode is giving me some Metal Slug vibes and I love it

SS G Starscream will be perfect with a set of Reprolabels.

Bee Megs look magnificent in all modes. Can't believes he's just a voyager.

Scorpy is disgusting. I want two.

Finally, Pablo look like the Mainline original, but with paint.

I may be in for that Megatron.
I'm still not opposed to waiting to see if I can get Scourge on sale, but there's something about this Megatron that I like.
So he is Voyager class?? If so, that makes him even more tempting.

I would like that Scorponok, but the violet color is a bit too saturated...
That should have been toned down, or a lighter gray/metallic.

That Gamer Starscream is an easy, easy pass.

None of the previously released Gamer Editions have interested me as I have the previous versions.

Starscream is no different. In fact, I feel he's carrying on the tradition of making the previous versions look superior.

As for Rumble ... what the heck even is that alt mode? Is he supposed to be a brick to be picked up and thrown at the enemy? Or does he wait on the battlefield for someone to trip over him? Alt modes should have SOME practical function and I for the life of me cannot see what Rumble's is. (Not that a cassette was any more useful)
