I'm ewally curious how a "Leader MV6 Megatron" will turn out. If that's a "Bee Movie" Megatron, I wonder how it will compare for the overall look to the 3P Megatank?

I've been waiting for a MV4/5 Optimus Prime! The Voyager from 2017 is still pretty good but I feel like a new version could collapse the backpack better!

Maybe the Studio Series Commander will be him with a battle trailer!

Also looking forward to Leader Swoop and seeing what "Next Gen" BB is!

And if we got Snarl in SS86, then literally everyone in that film is on the table.

Overcracker wrote:Wait... I'm confused....

Neither Megatron, Sunstreaker or Skywarp were in the Bumblebee movie. What exactly are they then?

Megatron had a pre-production design, and Skywarp is an easy repaint of Starscream / Thundercracker.

But Sunstreaker?

Frenzy and Rumble too?

Some of them have to be mistakes.

So Level A, instead of A Level. At least its looking like a actual sub-line now. Though that MV8 prime is a bit strange.

I'm pretty certain MV8 Optimus is TFOne Optimus. As for Megatron, yes he'll probably be from the BB film designs we have seen. Frenzy and Rumble would be made to give BBM Soundwave more minions to insert in his chest. Plus we did see one of those bots in the pack in comic that came with the movie.

So that would only leave Sunstreaker with no link or design from the BB movie, which is why I think it's SS86.

Ha. I actually looked it up out of curiosity. Sunstreaker is in this scene, he's in a slightly earlier scene inside the ship where Optimus orders the Dinobots to attack, and he's in the scene helping Kup move the roadblock to Lookout Mountain...meaning he somehow teleported back to the moonbase during the battle to fly everyone to Autobot City. Guy got around a lot in those 3 seconds.

The strangeness is he shares a sub line with SS-86 Bee. Also, what Bee? Netflix re-release? Buzzworthy Bee? A new Mold?

What would Megatron even turn into? Likely some kind tank though the design doesn't provide any real alt mode cues.

Sunstreaker is a mystery. And would wager good money its probably SS-86 SS.

While we don't know if Bee is a new mold, Optimus being in a line with Bee isn't strange. The point of this line is to have the best selling toys in a subline. And with Studio Series now covering video games, live action and cartoon films, so a subset of the best selling characters within all these designs makes sense.

I've mentioned this before but a rumor I heard is Target held back the ROTB Mainline deluxes for a future exclusive "Kid Friendly" Studio Series line. Perhaps that's what "A" series is going to be?

By the sounds of it they won't be exclusive to any one store, simply a small set of popular characters that stores can constantly have in stock. Think of it like the big box retailer equivalent to Authentics or Cyber Battalion at "market six" discount stores. Sounds like all of the figures will be Deluxe, but I wonder if they'll be price like SS Deluxe or like Earthspark to make them more enticing to kids.

I still think it would be smarter for a 40th anniversary Commander Optimus to be a stand alone figure rather than part of a line. We've seen Prime get that honor for other milestones in the past and would people really complain about three CC figures one year?

We definitely need a new one! They could do a few releases as well, one of the pre-sword design with the blaster and another as the post-sword AOE/TLK version! I'd probably want to see him as a Voyager, but Leader with swappable arms and all the weapons would be cool too.

I agree that the TLK Voyager is good, the big upgrade I'd like to see besides kibble management is wrist articulation for better sword poses! Especially a downward wrist tilt like TLK Cogman has.

Well, the person who shared the rumor claimed to be a department manager at Target. Perhaps there was some confusion? It makes sense if they're going to do the A series that they use movie designs since that's what kids recognize now.

He does sound confused. He was probably told movie designs, but what they likely meant was Studio Series, not necessarily the live action stuff since 86 Bumblebee is one of them. They also might be thinking it's an exclusive since it's in the current exclusive number range (like the Star Seeker capsule and the Selects Autobot Multipack) but in this case it seems like just means it has a special status different from regular Studio Series so they can have a dedicated peg.

I miss the days of just releasing figures and there were no sublines of sublines exclusive to stores but only in odd zip codes.

It will help if you provided some pictures to show what you actually mean.

Because I could give him a toilet plunger for all it's worth.

A toilet plunger might be better than that somewhat lame blaster that he has. So the figure came with a type of blade weapon and a blaster. I was just wondering if anyone used a much better replacement blaster than the one the figure came with originally...that's all. :-D :VEHI:

Post a picture of the original, and a picture of what you want. If you do, helping you with this will be much easier.

This may be the best stocked I have ever seen a Gamestop. And it is also my first time seeing any SS figures outside of Battletrap and Cheetor released this year.

The Studio Series September unofficial fan tournament is BACK! To kick things off, we've got the bracket, calendar (the first half, anyway), the complete top 16, and a recap of last year's tournament in case you missed it!

I apologize for the wacky schedule, I don't get to pick my days off for my rotations and I only find then out in chunks of a few weeks at a time. We'll make it work though!
