The new cartoon looks like an American Anime.

awesome, grimlock looks to keep his G1 transformation intact. his dino mode is kinda odd but I like it, rather like trapjaw. i way prefer that to the classics incarnation.

I'm gonna pass on all the movie repaints from this point on. New molds, BRING THEM, I for one do enjoy the automorph feature, and the articulation this line brought to TFs. I agree that alot of the designs suck, but as far as playability goes the movie line is realy great(in my opinion)

Classics 2.0, bring it right now! This line never should have been put on hiatas, and I still can't get over how bad they dropped the ball with the BotCon Seeker Set.

The Animated toys are real hit or miss to me, on one hand I like some of the looks they're experimenting with, but I'm seeing just to much cartoonie things as well, you know, overgrown bodies and little legs. I was never a fan of that.

Also, for this upcoming series, will someone please feed BlackArachnia, and what the hell did they do to GrimLock, that just looks bad!

I like what I'm seeing for Megatron and some of the other bots, but realy, I'm reserving judgment as right now I see it as 50/50. Some of these toys will enter my collective, but unlike previous seriers(excluding repaints) not all of them will be included.

Also, before I forget, Octain has the same legs as that Energon ArealBot!

Wow wow wow. Sunstreaker looks just amazing so does Sideswipe yet I was hoping they wouldn't share the same mold... Octane looks fantastic too! Wow can't wait for these.

Animated figures look pretty cool in robot mode though some of them have super deformed looking alt modes that I'm not really liking. That second Optimus figure looks badass too bad that first one looks like **** (it really does). That little bomber plane looks great and so do Starscream and the dinobots. Definitely be picking some of these up.
Edit: And that little van with the Flying V electric guitar is definitely a must have! Love that thing!

re: animated

I think these are some of the best TF character designs... EVER! that's right... the have personality and style, something I felt that the previous toons (after BW) lacked somewhat. I'm literally giddy over Screamer and his new look... combined with the AWESOME "Latta-esque' voice, he looks to be one of the best screamers I've seen.

I am a little disappointed that they used Movie Megs, there are SOOO many good Megatron char. designs to draw from and I fell that the movie version is one of the weakest (maybe only being beaten by Giant Head Megs).

The photos of the Leader Prime toy did have a faceplate and it shows prime with the plate when he is brandishing the axe the preview clip. I think its fair to say he will be back and forth between the two... similar to the Movie or BW... I'm not too worried.

Sooo.... I like it.... I like it a lot!

I have a feeling somewhere during the series Soundwave & Optimus are going to have an axe fight.

The rest of the movir line looks pretty sweet, and if those Universe/Classics 2.0 figures look anything like their concept art, they'll be must haves. Still not quite sure about the Animated figures. I like Bumblebee, but Pruime's horrible... he rest I need a closer look at before I can decide how I feel about the line.

EDIT: And who's that fourth Robot Heroes guy? I recognize Chetor, Galvatron, and BW Megs, but the last one I'm stumped...

Going mostly by the sword and head design, I'm guessing Blitzwing?

These animated toys look great. smooth lines, everything. Very cartoony, hope they put that technology they have have been using in classics, alternators and some of the movie line, into these ones.

God, i actually like this starscream too. What the heck, the movie, and this new cartoon have made me like a character i have hated for 20 years. Odd. I like both his looks now.

the "Animated" figures are really starting to work their magic on me... now to find that video of the new series' characters 'in action'...

And that Scion with a guitar... actually looks pretty darned good too... But why give Soundwave a GUITAR?

Soundwave was a boombox 20 years ago, I think he needs something with a little more "umph" now. Granted, it's a step down from a stealth bomber, but I still think it's cool!

Awesome, awesome, awesome news about Sunstreaker & Sideswipe; here's hoping those unused Titanium molds for Shockwave, Arcee and Cosmos make it into the line somehow. I don't know why Octane has green now, but hell, I'm just happy he's being released.

Good to know more Robot Heroes are on the horizon. I eagerly anticipate owning Galvatron, and hope more BW characters appear as well. Waspinator FTW!!!!

As for the Animated toys....feh. I'll wait until I see the show.

Wow. I'll continue buying all the classics figures (first time I've even wanted get a whole TF series) and the Toys for the new show a pretty darn good. I'll have to see them in person, but these might be some of the most expressive Transformers made. And finally, a GREAT BA toy! Woo-hoo!

True, Black Arachnia was a great character, but her toys always left something to be desired.

This one rocks though, great bot sculpt and beast mode is awesome! I wonder what her colours will be like?

um....hate to be nitpicky, but Soundwave was never a boombox untill Titanium. He was a tape player in G1....the difference being the size & the big-ass speakers. Blaster was the boombox.

Now what bugs me about him is that for some reason they think that because his name has the word 'sound' in it, he has to involve pop-musical properties, which was my problem with Cybertron Soundwave as well. Albeit hard rock Soundwave is far better than DJ Soundwave......military information analist always seemed better to me.

.....now that I think about it, that's the thing that has bugged me about the TF series since G1. We're dealing with the Autobot & Decepticon armies here, yet they never seem to be very militaristic in the way they handle anything. No recon, no spywork, no battle tactics, flanking maneuvers.....virtually no focus on anything that would in any way make them seem armies. Just a lot of down-time followed by a few quick laser flashes, a flurry of punches & kicks, & then back to down-time. :?

That's alot to take in.

The new movie repaints look like ass minus the G1 Prime which I love and will be getting. The new movie molds however are all pretty damn good.

The Animated line don't do much for me but it looks like kids will like them which is good.

The Classics however, I will try to meld to my very soul.
