Do you live in the Nordic countries and really wish you could attend a Transformers Convention?

Have you ever heard of a Retcon, ya know, those silly things where people write up a new story and change the original meaning of an older story with it? Short for Retroactive Continuity?

Are you tired of me asking silly questions yet?

Well, if you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we have a big reveal for you today. Via their Facebook page, we have confirmation that there will be a Transformers convention held in Sweden next year titled Retcon, returning Transformers conventions to that part of the world. We cannot provide you with too many details at this time, as they are pending and will hopefully be out sometime around August, but we can quote the Retcon Facebook post to give you the baseline information:

Alright folks!
We are happy to announce that 2017 will be the year when we once again see a transformers convention in the Nordic countries. We hope you are as excited about this as we are.
For the moment we are not able to disclose much information but we can tell you three things:
1. Date: 29th of April, 2017
2. Place: Helsingborg, Sweden
3. Registration will go live during August
Watch this space as more information becomes available.
Team RetCon

We will provide with more information as it becomes available, but it sounds like Transformers is ready to make its Nordic return.

For Transformers fans in the Nordic countries, we bring to you big news from Retcon's Facebook Page, announcing that IDW writer and artist Nick Roche will be attending Retcon! Check out the full introduction below.

We are extremely proud and very happy to be able to announce that RetCon's first guest of honour will be none other than the one and only Nick Roche!

Having been a part of the IDW universe since the early years and written, co-written and illustrated such smash hits as Last Stand of the Wreckers and Sins of the Wreckers, he surely needs no further presentation.

Nick will be on site for RetCon both for the friday pre-hang-out and all of the main convention day.

The main convention opens at 11:00 and closes at 18:00.

I really liked the idea of redesigning the Dinobots as if they were Beast Wars characters; it worked so well for Spotlight: Shockwave. Kinda wish they'd kept these and rampaged around Jurassic Park

Never liked that teeth mouthplate thing Grimlock had going though. It just looked off and a lot of the time ended up confusing me.

True Beast Dinosaur Modes just made sense in those Spotlights and Hearts of Steel. I wish they had stayed too.
