Diamond edition of Timelines #10. Flareup, Apelinq, and AT have full page bios at the end. May be exclusive to that version?

Must be. It's not in the toy bio. The bios in the comics and magazines tend to be original works written separately from the toy bios, with much more material put into them than in the toy bios.

I don't own the Diamond Edition of "Hoist the Flag" yet, so I haven't read those bios yet.

Look, my hyperbole and general dickery aside, I think one of the things scotty pointed out is no matter new or obscure, these characters should be fleshed out more evenly, given more characteristics than traits. Characters shouldn't be defined by traits, much less physical ones because you get tokens. Even if that's there to free up other parts of fiction, that's not really good storytelling, a character in no matter how small of a role should be able to to present just that, their character, because then you get an idea of who they are not what they are. And the other problem is no matter how hardcore the niche the club's catering to, you shouldn't have to hunt down, read up, then figure out character details and plot details that are essential to understanding the plot and characters on your own like it was god damn Dune. Now I love that movie, but I'll be the first to admit, I shouldnt have to do a solid 5 hours of research before watching it. That's kinda where things are going, whenever I see a new T.F.C.C toy, with minor exception, I've gotta go on tfwiki and research it, to find pages with maybe two, three, paragraphs to them. Now is that my fault I don't know these one off characters who appeared in a small amount of fiction published before I was born? I guess. But then again I've seen fans who have been with the franchise for 30 years also have to do the same thing.

Oh and also, with this in mind, I'd actually be considerably less pissed off or alternatively much less dickhead, spiting venom, toward the club if like every year at botcon, they just published like a novella explaining the characters for this year.

Why do I get the feeling that if IDW or any other company instead of the Club decided to breathe life into this character you wouldn't be complaining?

Nah i'd still complain.
Then kindly explain to me what is wrong with writers taking undeveloped, untapped material that has yet to be explored and then breathing life into it to make it more substantial and potentially more worthwhile than the unappealing state of nothingness that it currently is?

I mean, is that not the same as when a writer creates something new from the ground up? (which happens all the time)

Because there are characters who have been persistently sidelined who would provide for better material.

Smokescreen, Pointblank, Grotesque, etc... All interesting but essentially untapped characters who people like but have had nothing relevant ever done with them.

Basically, opportunities like with what IDW did for Whirl and Skids, but without resorting to something so obscure that only the most intense of intense fandom academics know of.

Serious Guess: Cybertron's Most Wanted. If that's the theme, calling Tomahawk as Blue Bacchus (or Blue Maximus for trademark) right here and now!

Silly Guess: Clean Mold Weekly.

BotCon 2015 Theme Revealed: Cybertron's Most Wanted

With a peculiar choice of timing, as a lot of people not in the US are probably still/already celebrating the arrival of the New Year, the official BotCon Twitter account and the official website have 'revealed' this year's theme for the convention exclusive set. It looks like you'll be hunting for Cybertron's Most Wanted in 2015 - a set of supposedly five figures nicknamed The Thief, The Muscle, the Loose Cannon, The Bounty Hunter and The Boss!
