The DVD that is included with the Transformers Animated Optimus Prime vs Megatron "The Battle Begins" set includes a gallery of the first wave of toys as well as the first episode of Transformers Animated. It does not include the full 3 part movie that debuted on Cartoon Network around Christmas. It only includes "Transform and Roll Out! Part One". It ends shortly after the Transformers crash on Earth.

You can view photos of the DVD's content here:

I wish they would just release the toys already for this line. Season 2 will start soon and still nothing.

This is pretty pointless then, considering the full movie will be released before the toys even hit stores

Suspicious, I've just noticed that the Ark has Omega Supreme's colouration.

That would make for some wicked sweet forshadowing.

This debate has been going on for quite some time on the forums here, you might want to take part in it.

What is with the black stuff on Optimus Prime and the white stuff on Megatron?
I sure hope the camera was malfunctioning...

It only includes "Transform and Roll Out! Part One". It ends shortly after the Transformers crash on Earth.

So we sacrifice the other two "Transform and Rollout" episodes in exchange for having gallaries of the first wave of toys?

I'd rather just pick up my digest adaptation.

This is getting a big ol' pass from me. The DVD has nothing of interest to me on it and I absolutely hate the "battle damaged" black blotches on the figs. Horrible.

I'll be passing on this set to begin with. I'm hoping it goes the way of the Classics 2 Pack Prime and Megatron where it ends up on special at the dollar stores.

I may pass i may not it depends on what mood i'm in at the time. I can't wait for the toys though! They really should have released the toys at an earlier date and i'm sure they lost some potential Tfs fans namely children because of it.

theres lots of speculation on that but if you look at the ark its quite easy to imagine a big torso with legs and arms folded up.

That... that completly sucks!

So, basically, this DVD is only going to be 20 - 30 minutes long? at what'll probably be, what, $10 upwards??

Well, this is... pretty lame.

I really hope they're not going to release all the Season 1 eps in singles/doubles like this... I want a proper boxed set, thanks. :P
