Oh, and this show rules so far. Too bad I have no idea how I'm going to catch this show at 10:30 in the morning.

Time to pull the VCR out of the closet, dust it off and try to remember what a composite cable is.

eh....BB's voice didn't kill me as much as it did in the previews. Prime's novice-ness and Prowl...anti-cooperativeness is something to get used to. (among other things) But it wasn't pure fail. Alot of the alien to alien interactions seemed very authentic. Like...What the heck is that thing? kinda stuff. They overlooked the whole language thing, but I can just pretend that...something..something, blah blah, (insert magical plothole thingy here), and yea. 8)

Still needs to work it's way into my heart, but I wasn't turned off. :-B

Awesome. I loved it! Hey, anyone else catch Spike, Carly, and Daniel at the hot dog stand? A cool Easter Egg there.

One of you saw it. Cool feature. Saves me from lookin' like an idiot.

I. LOVE. IT.
And I get the feeling Ratchet, Magnus, and maybe Megs are the G1 characters, not new namesakes.
Plus, Spike Daniel, and Carly make a cameo.
Plus the G1 footage.
Plus everything.
(Blitzwing=awesome...3 faces)

I was pleasantly surprised about it. I'll watch it.

Although I'll end up downloading it if they don't change the 10:30 A.M. show time.

This series is very similar to a Beast Wars series idea I came up with awhile back, but it had only Maximals and Predacons that weren't used in the shows. The Maximals were led by Polar Claw and Preds were led first by Buzzsaw, then Shadow Panther, then Transmetal Scavenger.

(The answer is "yes")

Not bad now if they can only keep up this kind of show thru the rest of season. Although I can't wait to see the dinobot creation episode.

That was the biggest suck fest since armada. The first 15min was good but once they got to earth it went to hell. Looks like ill be DVRing this crap just so i can see the good crap if any. The only thing they did good were the bots. If there were no humans than it might have been a good show. Theres just one thing i dont get, if this is takeing place after G1 then how is Megatron not Galvatron and how is Optimus young? They needed to discuss this. If this Prime just got the name Optimus and if this is a new Megatron or if Galvatron for some reason decided to be called Megatron again. As of now im not liking it. Ill watch one or two more and see if there is some potential. If not then im using my DVR juts to see the Decepticons blow **** up.

EDIT: oh and my DVR cut off the last few minutes. What happend after that scientist got off the giant robot hand? I take it they showed Megatron.

ZOMG, that episode was full of WIN.

Blitzwing is already my favorite character... Col Klink, Arnold Swarzeneggar, and some random insane german jack-o-lantern all rolled into one spells FTW.

i can't WAIT for his new toy!!!!!!!

The writing is very good. Probably the best we've seen since G1 (a hell of a lot more cohesive) and Beast Wars. The opening scene with clips from G1 was a nice touch (I'm as curious as anyone else as to whether or not this ties in).

The art: I don't have too much of a problem with the robot designs, but the humans, especially the kids, are way too over-stylized/over-simplified. It's like they came from a totally different show, and reminds me of those little cartoons that they used to do in the middle of Sesame Street back in the '70's. I could have handled it if they could have at least done them in a 'Jackie Chan Adventures' or 'The Batman' style. I pray that they don't relaunch 'G.I.Joe' in this style! Takes a lot of getting used to, as everyone else has said!

Starscream is vicious... perhaps badder than his old G1 self. Only time will tell.

Corey Burton's Ratchet sounds a lot like John Stephenson, who voiced Thundercracker, Windcharger, Kup, and others in G1.

funny:
- Ratchet loaded with parking tickets.

- Prime's reaction to Sari explaining the birds and bees. She's one smart kid!

- Ratchet's squeaking every time he moves a joint.

I just finished watching it, it was quite good actually, I expected to be very annoyed by Sari(The little girl), but she was a okay character, better then the Cybertron and Energon children to say the least. I also like the power they put behind one decepticon, it looks like the fights will be more epic when Decepticons show up, then in previous new series. I am over the design, because I really like Starscream and Bumblebee's character. I wasn't expecting Prowl to be English, that was quite a suprise, and Blitzwing looks like the most intresting Decepticon. Spoiler: I hope Starscream really isn't dead through

About that Witwicky family notice, I saw them and posted their appearance in my first post, one of the earliest posts.

But I'm sure several people didn't read it and it's just as good for you to (re)mention it.

Sumdak said as he was walking away "what would the autobots say if they knew how I created my robot empire" then they just showed the front of meg's head with parts removed. faded to black, then the credits ran

I guess I just have to eat my words now. It far exceeded my expectations.

Though....it may be in the bots' best interest if they kept Sari around...

Pretty spiffy. Starscream was total scheming baddassery.

A couple of things I liked:

1: downplaying the "robots in disguise" part. More believeable, honestly. I mean, if you were an alien on a different planet, honestly, how would you know how to hide? & from what? The machines? The organic bipeds? The giant cockroaches?

2: decent kid. Not nearly as annoying os some previous ones. She's actually pretty funny at points.

3: the allspark key....a reference to the G1 comics' matrix I presume.

4: The G1 archives video.

5: Prime: where do the little organics come from?
Sari: *whisper*
Prime:

.......Priceless.......

What I didn't like......I'll have to get back to you on that......

As others stated, I liked Ultra Magnus' voice. Starscream and BB's voices annoy me though. I can hear that Spongebob in SS and BB is too "Hey dudes"-ish.

Prowl was somewhat cool and I like the whole open door with Prime having been in the academy and then kicked out. I want to see where they are going to go with that.

We'll have to wait and see.

The one and only thing that bothered me was Sumdac, worst human design ever. :|

Bumblebee also sounds like Chris Rock, which actually kinda works for him.

Sari has done more in an hour and a half than any of the idiots from AEC could ever hope to accomplish in their entire lives. Bravo, Sari, bravo.

And while I admit that the style of some of the human characters will take some getting used to, overall, I love this series. I see no reason to dislike it really. Sure, I've got a few questions as to where this fits in with G1, but hey, it's the first episode, they've got three whole seasons to explain things with. It would be boring if they just let you know the entire encyclopedic history of the series right at the beginning! ;D

After watching a lot of this, I have to say I don't think this is a direct tie-in with G1. I got the impression(if it wasn't said outright, I can't remember) that Decepticons hadn't been seen in quite some time, and the Great War was a fairly distant memory.

What I could see this being, however, is an alternate dimension, with a lot of the same history, and then the loss of the Allspark/Matrix splits into two possible histories... one where the Great War continued, and one where it ended as is being show in Animated.

I am really enjoying the series thus far. It's a lot of fun, and I'll be interested to see where it goes from here. I do like the way they handle the Decepticons.

Yes, this isn't tied to G1. I think the footage, cameos, and references are just nods to the fans.
