Bought this 2-24-08.
I don't play Halo, I've only done so a couple of times. The toys are cool though. Very detailed, posable (MC has 18 pts of articulation), and are reduced from doll-ish sized to more action figure-y. THese aren't due to stores for another 6 days. Was around $10 at Wal Mart.

I picked up the EVA Red Spartan and CQB Blue Spartan from Wal-mart a couple of days ago. $10 for the price.
Upon asking an employee if they had any more of the figures(I needs me a Chief and Cortana), I found out that there should be an end cap for the figures coming sometime soon.
Awesome sauce.
Only qualm is they all come with the same weapon, Assault Rifle, and a grenade. No variety.

I just bit the bullet and ordered John, Cortana and the Brute Chieftan from BBTS. $43 is more than I wanted to pay, but with how my stores are around here, I'm not expecting to see them.

Hang on to the inserts that have the POP on them. Each figure and vehicle is worth a different amount of Halo points, which will, sometime, be worth free crap from Spawn.com

Yup I was reading that as I purchased them. Can't wait for the Chieftan. I am a bit disappointed that Cortana has no articulation whatsoever though. I was hoping for at least knee, ankle, hip, shoulder and elbow joint. They could hide those well enough and not take away from the figure.

Yeah, Cortana not having articulation kinda sucks, at least the light up base is a great idea. If only they'd given her a couple pegs and a couple weapons for the other figures.

Awesome.

I love the fact that McFarlane took over leadership of the Halo 3 Figs. Has anyone seen pics of Series 2? Like.. there's so many Spartans.. and they all look amazing!

-sigh-
I'm starting to hate McFarlane, putting out all these damned good figures, and me having no money in which to get them.
I should sell plasma.

So I picked up the Master chief figure from Wal-mart last night, they only had two chiefs, and a Jackal sniper, I ended up buying both chiefs, one for me, and one for my roommate, since he had left his wallet at home and only had enough cash to get some small groceries.
I haven't opened the figure yet, but looking at it through the package, it really is a beautiful figure. Though no grenade with either of the chiefs. I think the grenade must only come with the spartan soldiers.
Now, all McFarlane needs to do is start putting out the MK 2 armor with the colors of the RvB guys.

Mark 2? You mean the Mark IV from the original Halo? I believe they will be in wave 3. The suit now in Halo 3 is Mark VI.

Yeah, I mean the mark V armor, I had a brain-fart there for a second, reasoning that the armor in halo 2 was the second mjolnir armor. Doh.
Although having the RvB guys done up in the Mk IV armor would rock as well.

hi guys, help me if you can.... id just like to know all of the armor variants on all of the halo figs. if any of you guys know what they are, please share. because i have 2 master chiefs, one of them is just plain green, the other is green but it has bronze highlights. i just wanted to know if this was an error or if its a variant. i know mcfarlane toys hand paints parts of their figure so maybe the worker just forgot to paint it in by accident. thanks!
