I was pretty surprised with how nice Tracks is. I just grabbed him because of the hood deco, but as a nice bonus, his paint job is superb!

ShardFenix wrote:the only thing i really like on these is the bumper trim on perceptor as it adds a little more to his alt-mode. just out of curiosity...how hard could that be to add on to the RTS version of Perceptor? And how would I do it?

Agreed.
IMO these United versions look terrible. Patchwork metallic-painted parts combined with exposed grey plastic do not look good. I think I'm just not a fan of metallic paint except in certain applications, such as for silver or gold parts. Otherwise, all or nothing. It looks really bad having a big metallic area broken up by bare unpainted plastic.
The only things I like are the fender details on Perceptor and the yellow flames on Wreck-Gar. Otherwise, Hasbro superior, Takara inferior. Hasbro's Perceptor looks far better with the chrome, and I actually like the yellow windows, and I like the shades of red & orange used for Wreck-gar much more.

From what we've seen before, the red and blue on United Perceptor appear to be a lot closer to the G1 standards than RTS. Plus United's vehicle mode looks better with the silver bumpers. Chrome is not the be all and end all in my opinion, so it's absence really doesn't bother me. United win for me.
Wreck-Gar is a tough one. I prefer the brighter colours of United, but the silver face looks rubbish and his patchwork of colours is far too patchy. I REALLY can't decide between them.

Dude no kidding. I placed the G1, Animated, and RTS versions side by side. RTS looks like a freaking statue!!! A sculpted piece of art. I love G1, but these "classic" styled figures are so well designed they take the charm right out of its G1 counterpart.

Thank you, Thank you!!! im glad to see someone agrees that hasbro's version of Wreck-Gar is crap compared to United!
I think the Hasbro version is better. Not digging the silver paint on his face at all especially since he's never had a silver face before as a toy or in the cartoon. It's like Takara is trying to be different just to be different.
