Hey Ryan, will your BlackZarak gallery include images of his Dakatsu Mode?
Oh, I hope the recording of the next podcast is at a time convenient for me to call in. It's gonna be tricky working this in around work and school.

I actually sold my 20th Anniversary Optimus. He was unstable, and way to tall compared to my Grimlock and Skywarp. He was worth some money, and I wanted it.
Always look forward to the podcast guys.
My holly grail: BW MISB Grimlock, or BWII Gigastorm

Grimlock's best left in package. I wouldn't mind getting one sealed so that I never have to see the gold plastic crumble ever again.
As for BW2 Gigastorm, I can't wait to do his gallery in the next year. He's on my "sooner-than-later" list along with Metroplex, Metrotitan, and Trypticon.

Which figure do you have that is on my list?
Seibertron wrote:Glad you guys liked the Grail discussion. I think it's a topic that should be revisited from time-to-time as this group obtains some of the special sought-after items that we wish to obtain. If Bob or Mike ever gets Shining Unicron or if Matt obtains his Lucky Draw Fire Convoy or if Jon lands a MIB Scorponok ... we ought to use that moment to cover this conversation again.
Seibertron wrote:This was a turning point in my collection. It feels weird after all of these years to not be on the hunt for this item. It was just the right time, the right moment, the right price, and the right place. It just all fell together and I love that I did it by selling extra TFs that I've obtained along the way. That made it even more special ... and the only way I could rationalize all of this craziness to my wife. I'm a very lucky man that she is so understanding of this hobby.
Yay! Cuz I have no idea how one gets the toy into that mode.Seibertron wrote:Of course Black Zarak will get that special mode featured in the gallery!
I'll keep that in mind, as I usually work evening shifts. It's too late for me to request that night off (as we need to give more advanced notices for days off), but I'll pray that my schedule doesn't have me working that night. I'll keep you posted.Seibertron wrote:We generally record on Thursday nights between 9pm and 11pm Eastern. I think the next recording is on the 8th, unless the guys want to move it up one week to recoup the week or two that we lost last month. I think it should be the 8th unless they want to override me.

I agree. Hopefully one day they'll realize that we'd all love to have this. Heck, it'd be really awesome if the BotCon folks could figure out a couple of human homages with the GIJoe toys.
One day maybe we'll get this!

If Wheeljack had a more Wheeljack head a more Wheeljack color scheme, I wouldn't be so opposed to it. He was just a mess in the movie. Thank goodness Soundwave solved that problem for all of us.
GetRightRobot wrote: My Grail story is similar: Overlord, MIB. Bought him when my first custom Transformer auction closed. Never thought in a million years something I made would have been in such high demand. Overpaid for my Overlord, but the wife put it into perspective for me, explaining that for once, the hobby is self sustaining. I am very lucky aswell.

Good question. Neither luckydrawtransformers.com nor Transformers @ The Moon seem to have much info on it.trence5 wrote:Sooooo, what's the story with that Lucky Draw Superlink Black Galvatron or Megatron?

Sodan-1 wrote:Brilliant episode. It's always cool getting a little insight into the main brains of the site. The holy grail talk also made me realise I know next to nothing about Transformers.
At the start of the podcast, mention was made of an acquisition by Matt (am I right in thinking Matt is also known as Tigertracks?) that he said he would leave until 'bragging rights'. Since this section was omitted we never found out what it was. Based on the opening conversation of the last episode, are congratulations in order?
