I say, this is an amazing design. I REALLY, REALLY hope this becomes a figure in the WFC limited line.

Looks great! The cannon is wierd, but cool. But yeah, I would still rather see a leader toy of that triple-changer shockwave from the first movie game, he ruled.

I know a lot of people are looking for a classics 2.0 figure but, if he comes out as a toy it will probably be for the War for Cybertron line. Either way it'll be a bad mutha!

A great design, staying true to G1, with just enough change to stay within the game's style. I too hope for a toy.

As for the pre-order bonus, there have also been a few "exclusives" that later became widely-available over XBLive or PSN. The Penny Arcade "Cardboard Tube Samurai" costume for Yoshimitsu in Tekken 6 was a GameStop "exclusive," but is now available code-free on the networks.

In other words "exclusive" might just mean you get to have it first.

Wow, the new WFC Shockwave looks menacing, which certainly contradicts his usual his cold and logical demeanor, this shockwave looks like he's abandoned logic in favor of wanton violence and madness.

Very nice update of the old character model if I do say so myself.

I've never seen Shockwave before except for his head, but this guy's awesome!

And if you're just getting into the hobby and like the appearance of ol' one eye. Then you need to check out his Energon homage http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/toys/energon/shockblast/316/ Definitely worth picking up if you're going to start a colleciton.

I love this new addition to the WFC lineup! I want to see an alt mode of this character and quickly. Besides transformers animated, have we ever seen an pre-war cybertron Shockwave? Even before the war, Shockwave has always been a laser gun. I know this is truly a marketing strategy to squeeze out a new toy and whatever, but the alt mode better be kick butt. Oh, and he better light up at the very minimum and a voyager. I want to see more characters in this game.....and quick.

One thing I've noticed, that in all of the incarnations given to Ol' one eye...he's always looked good (some better than others) even in TF:animated he had a menacing aura to him...and now this...it really embodies Shockwave's character...KUDOS to the designer(s)

Here's something to consider about Shockwave. He turns into a big handgun but I've never seen him shrink or used as a gun by someone else. If either of these things have ever happened I've never seen it. All I've ever seen him do is turn into a giant cannon that flies around so I don't think we can get mad if he turns into a flying cannon in the game. Just a thought.

I passed on preordering Marvel UA 2 to get ol Juggs and he was released as dlc pack later... im sure this will be the same way

I really hope the thing in the TFCC mag about W4C being related to the new toon TF:Prime is true, and if so, I hope Shockwave looks just like that.

Question is... Shockwave or Shockblast?

So is there a chance of the UK getting a release of this figure in one of our stores like GAME?

OK cool. I must have missed that. Either way it's highly unlikely that he will turn into a pistol for the game. A player turning their character into an item another player can use . . . . . . . . . . . . . sounds awesome! It seemed really complicated to me before but now that I think about it, why not? It would add whole new strategies, especially in multiplayer! Imagine multiplayer matches where your teammates can BECOME special weapons, turrets, even vehicles like Halo's warthog! I just blew my own mind

For the record, I do not want to become a weapon for someone else. While there would be advantages for the other guy, there would be nothing for ME to do. What am I supposed to do? Pull my own trigger when or IF he aims at someone?

It's a bad idea, and it always was. As Michael Bay said, it would be like Darth Vader turning into his own lightsaber and having someone else swing him around.

Think of Shockwave, you have your robot mode, your alt-mode as a flying energy cannon but with the option to become useable by another player. My idea is sort of triple-change-ish. It would be a teamwork effort, distributing points between the two. Or larger characters could seat other players while in vehicle mode. That's what I meant because you're right, an alt-mode you can't use is stupid.

But that's still useless. My ally already has a weapon, I don't want to immobilize myself just so he can have another one. The stuff sticking up from his back kinda looks like the top of the Decepticon symbol.

What about if it was worth it? Like a turret or an instant kill pistol like Megatron or Shockwave (but with a long recharge so it doesn't get abused).
