Maybe someone's already brought this to attention, but just in case.
This set's street date is set for 6/21, my store's already admitted to me that they've had them in stock for over a week but they're not supposed to go on sale till then. I recommend everyone do what I'm doing & checking first thing Sunday morning!

Sixshots undersized as a gun so no chance for earthrise at the standards Wfc have set so far.

Handguns probably still the best thing for megs to be but if it's going by what the most destructive form on the planet to take is.. He'd obviously be a virus (probably disguisable as a planet/moon for Unicron) :p maximum use of the shrink chip/mass shifting :)

I can personally assure you that they are not street dated, the endcap is just not supposed to fall into their workload until next week; if it is in fact actually street dated, then different targets get different street dates - or their store director has a store policy to not sell upcoming merch until it actually goes out so as to not have empty endcaps the day they set, which is entirely valid in my view

It's not uncommon for individual stores to break street dates. Target has a computer measure against selling stock before they're meant to, but a manager can easily override it.

And typically they will override it so that customers will return to the store and buy other things because of good customer service. Whenever they don't it's typically because the manager is either new to the position and doesn't want to risk losing the job because of mistake from a stocker, or they're heavily rules oriented and are "by the book" type people that follow every rule to the letter

You can also check stock, though probably a little unreliably on Target's website and sites like Brickseek. Unfortunatly it seems that no Target's in my area will be carrying the 2 pack at all, at least according to their website.

I thought the classification stopped at Virginia. But maybe? It is frustrating that I can't find stuff, and it is seriously making me consider paying a scalper for the first time for the twin pack of Seekers.

Well I live in Georgia and I'm pretty much in the same boat. New figures always show up a month or so after everywhere else. But I will NEVER line the pockets of a scalper. Those people are scum. I'm gonna check my Target tomorrow, and if I see more than 1 set, I'll get it for you at cost plus shipping if you want.

That would be awesome if you did find them. I was refreshing the page all day, stayed up late, and somehow missed the restock online still. I think it was only minutes that it was up.

Don't forget that there's the budget of the figure and the number of parts to keep in mind. So to leave it at the voyager price point, some hollowness is to be expected.

Still, a better tank Megatron could have been made.

-- In tank mode, the legs could have a very different design. The underside of the tank could have been completely hollow so that the WHOLE tank threads could fold in 2 to make the complete leg.

And blah, blah. Blah. It's pretty pointless to talk about how it could be done because the "perfect" design already exist. And ironically, it's the Cyberverse ultimate Megatron.
So just imagine that design, but with better articulation, no action gimmicks, and the ability for the tank turret to rotate. Then BAM! Here's the "perfect" G1 Tank Megatron in voyager size.

about the number of parts, probably the mod I suggested wouldn't have changed them.
Since in my idea it wouldn't include the parts-forming fold out sword, you'd recover 5 pieces in the piece count (the 2 halves of the blade, the 2 parts that connects them to the gun, and the gun itself)
-The fusion cannon would get one extra piece (underside, that folds out into a tank barrel. In the altmode the hollowness wouldn't be visible, since the main body of the fusion is covered between the arms, and in robot mode it would form a full-looking fusion cannon.
-you're left with 4 extra parts, that can be used 2 to give Megatron a mushroom-peg wrist articulation, like other figures in the line, and the other 2 to make the arm panels.
Same number of pieces, with a lot better looking Megatron, without partsforming.
In my opinion, it's more than an acceptable trade for the sword.
Don't get me wrong, it's a cool accessory and a nice looking weapon, but without wrist articulation the poses he can do with it are very limited.

Don't worry, that message displays for any store that hasn't yet gotten any stock in. For example, that message was displayed for the Rainmakers set, and though they were a week or two behind other stores that did have it in stock, my own store and others in the area did carry it. I'm confident the same thing is happening this time.

We're behind schedule on the east coast, but it doesn't mean we're excluded. Resist the FOMO and be patient, and if that doesn't work, eBay has you covered.

I agree that a sword accessory with a toy that have zero wrist articulation joints make the sword rather pointless.

Also, don't a ball joint for wrist articulation be better than a mushroom peg?

Honestly, I'm still a bit surprised wrist articulation isn't part of the 'norm' from Siege onward, where ankle tilts are generally standard in some capacity on figures.

I know, but I'm weirded out by how some figures got wrist articulation and some don't and generally speaking it rarely has to do with the transformation, as most figures usually tuck the hands inside the alt mode in some capacity. It seems completely arbitrary if a figure has wrist rotation or not, that's all.

probably, but between the socket and the ball, it requires more space, unless it's a really small balljoint that has an higher risk of breaking.
I think the most functional solution are the ones like Siege Starscream or Generations Springer. Mushroom peg for the wrist rotation and a certain degree of in-out movement using the transformation joint.

The lack of universal wrist rotation is more annoying on Voyager figures IMO. It's one thing on Deluxes where there's the issue of space constraints (making it hard to have both the rotation and the foldaway joint; there are a few exceptions, such as TR Hardhead, but it's mostly either-or); Voyagers usually have enough space... I wonder if it's a savings in molding and assembly.

It doesn't grind my gears as much as it does some other people's.. but then I'm used to the Unicron trilogy, where figures often have neither (even some that could really use it *cough*Cybertron Scourge*cough*); And yet, it doesn't stop them from being enjoyable.

Speaking of wrist joints, there's even more frustrating than not having one at all. Having a wrist joint that is completely blocked by the molding of the arm, making you wonder what the hell the designers were thinking.

PotP Jazz vs. Selects Ricochet. Jazz was all white, Ricochet has one white mold switched out with black, most notably the forearms, while the fists remained white on the other white mold. Color variation without paint! :APPLAUSE:
