For me, it's a 'retool' in as much as the toys still function the same, and are rather clearly based on each other.
100% agree, there is no longer a clear fan definition for retool. So it can be a retool or not in anyones opinion. Since toys are all designed at the same time and the release schedule is no longer indicative of what was designed first, I feel the term is obsolete. The truth is these 2 toys share the same design and structural skeleton along with the same legs. Anything said beyond that is whatever a fan wants to say Its definitely a cost saving measure, just as retools of the past.

Which is a shame because everything else looks great. Also, if thehead doesn't have to come off, why did they have to do the headmaster gimmick? I know its the line play feature but it isn't utilized. At least Overlord has his powermaster ports.

And plus that way you get to have all four look very different from one another.

Tell yourself they arent the same mold then. Because I dont think they are. Its just two different toys which have the same feet. Just like how all the g1 minibots had the same wheels

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.
