Wow, thats a far cry from the times you said he was close to being perfect. Now he's the worse leader of all time? It looks like your opinion on him is lowering by the hour
And trust me, there are worse leaders. The seekers, for example. And I dont find sixshot so much worse than the other Titans Return leaders aside from Sky Shadow. The leaders have all been a bit ho hum for me due to them all being similar to other leader figures, and quite simple compared to the more ingenious deluxes.
Well he is close to being good, but is frustratingly not there. The weak knees are a real let down since he can only stand straight upright, the arms are not very movable, and those stickers. Plus all the modes feel close to alright, but they just aren't good. The wolf and tank modes are the only ones I feel are worth it, and those are the only 2 I really use. Sub/gun mode is yeck, car mode is not impressive, and the jet mode just won't work because of the wings and the way the arms are supposed to stay in place but don't. plus his guns are weak and he is just.... too simple.
I really like the leader seeker mold, and I find it better than Sixshot. Thundercracker has loads more presence, personality, and at least he can hold his poses.
IDK, the wave 3 Megatron and Sixshot were major disappointments for what I had hoped for, and they are very much overshadowed by deluxes and titan masters(!!!). Blaster was a good mold too, and one that I would enjoy more if it was a mobile alt mode instead of a boombox.
And compared to Jetfire, Thundercracker, Blaster, Ultra Magnus, and Megatron, he just doesn't feel up to their snuff. I know your opinion on Megatron, but I love him to death, so there is some slight bias there, but I still find him a better figure.
Sixshot is to me the epitomy of Irony in this fandom. A few years ago everythi g had to be more Geewun. Now here he is, slavishly G1, and he is as underwhelming as any of the other bricks.
Me, I love him, the fact that he is so slavishly G1 SixShot. But my favoritist part, is that he does exactly what I have wanted from the TR line on the first place:
you can transform the head without having to remove the little head dude. Seriously, a swiveling Neck, and the whole thing collapses in without ever havibg to remove Revolver. so many Headmasters in this line could have been optional, Like Galvatron (who WASNT a Headmaster) or Skullcruncher, if they had transformed him the same way as SixShot.
And I agree, the tank is eh. The Submarine looks more like a sailboat, and the guns are quite thin for hmsuch a blocky dude. And I do wish there was something we could have done with the arms in his jet mode to make them look less like arms, but I still quite like his Jet, Wolf, Car, and Robot Modes. (what are you talking about the wings? They work fine.) I don't have any problems with his Knees, although the arms are kinda loose.
He's the only Leader I have bought since Megatron and Magnus. I will probably end up getting a PMOP at some point, but I am in no hurry and want to see what the Boxset Prime looks like. I skipped the Seekers since they never struck me as hugely imposing characters and I have a complete set of the original 6 Classic Deluxes.
I also skipped Soundwave and Blaster. 10 years ago when I was into the Roleplay and the Real Gear stuff, I woulda been all over Boombox Transformers. Now? Notso much. And while I know a lot of people hate Prime Soundwave, no one will convince me that a Predator Drone is NOT the most suitable alt mode for the manipulative spy and dataminer Soundwave.
I am on the fence about Sky Shadow. He is not a character I am attached to or think needs to be huge, but he is an impressive figure. I am DEFINATELY getting OverLord though.
