I preffer these two to the original mold releases. They both look like exclusives that would have once been out of reach for me and Krok has more paint on him than any other deluxe released by Hasbro since I started collecting. That does work against him though since the paint will make some parts thicker than others and thus tighter but not in a good way but that will differ from figure to figure.

As for everything being perfect in this line, afraid not. Both the titan master and legends offerings are the worst we had in terms of new toys. And from reviews, only shuffler is decent for the titan masters while brawn is all that is really new for the legends class. Plus perceptor is kinda weak with his gimpy tabs and the fact that Hasbro chose to reference the mobile laboratory mode instead of his much better original diaclone tank mode. Both of which could be achieved on the G1 toy but they totally ruin the legit tank mode here by not providing any ground clearance for it.

And Bodrock, that is some smart thinking, i hope you do get to experience this wonderful Kup mold but in a more worthy deco.

Urgh, Sky Gary has a way more convincing space carrier mode.

By the way does anyon else have perceptor to let me know if I am the only one who thinks he's a bit weak sauce when it comes to tabbing.

Yeah, I'm right there with you on Perceptor. Robot mode is nice and everything else is kind of meh. Not terrible, but not really that great.

First off...yes I agree this is a goofy-as-heck alt mode...but isn't that the official correct way to transform it according to the instructions? I mean this is actually what it looked like IIRC form early and prominent toy reviewers on Youtube. Of course I've seen much more practical fan modes...but I thought this was the official way it was supposed to look according to Hasbro's instructions...?

No, its not and thats the joke, this is just really badly mistransformed, this is what it should look like:

Oh ok...so the arm thingies are pushed up forward instead of back. Actually as messed up as this alt mode is, I'm surprised anyone could tell it was so subtle. I was concentrating more on the back as no plane should ever look like that :lol:

I guess if I can give Broadside anything in regards to that jet mode; if one vehicle mode or the other had to be sacrificed, I'm glad it was the jet mode. We get a ton of planes but, like, we never get any sea vehicles. So it's nice that at least the one time we get a sea vehicle it does look rather lovely. Imagine if that was the one that looked hideous...

My problem with the plane mode is that it could easily be better, there are choices here that are just really dumb such as these:

- fake aircraft carrier kibble found at the front: it doesnt serve any mode and is not present on the aircraft carrier mode so all it does is muddy the plane, at least the plane could have a nice front if those sides were left bare.

- backwards tail fins: this too serves nothing of purpose in other modes, so why not just have them face the right way?

Also, Kurona, you were curious about Perceptor and why he was the weakest link. I hope me and kev fan answered your question.

Can confirm what Ironhidensh found. I stopped by a Meijer in Florence, KY earlier today and found Roadburn and Brawn. They weren't in the system yet and were ringing up as $15 deluxes.

Hopefully I'll be seeing some actual Deluxes soon.

TRU-UK just sent me the vouchers they usually used to send not as a mail out - but as a PDF - which I'm not complaining about as they also work online - but they run out in a month so fingers cross they keep the current prices when they get wave 4 TR Deluxes in.

Well not quite right now, cos my local(ish) stores have not much.

Toys R Us did get wave 3 Titans back in stock and with a sale on so about £12 rather than £18 on deluxes but that's it at moment. I gonna check again in a couple weeks when hopefully some Last Knight stuff will be out cos I want Optimus

We bring to you today a pair of news stories regarding the currently released Titans Return Chaos on Velocitron set.

The first set of news is that the box set is now available on ToysRUs.com for the $99.99 price point. You can follow the included link above to go to the store and buy yours today!

The second piece of news comes from Toys R Us as well as a rogue Amazon listing where 3rd party sellers are selling the sets for ridiculous prices. This listing, however, coupled with the Toys R Us listing gives us some new stock images of all 5 characters in robot and alternate mode, and in the case of Laser Prime all 3 of his modes and in the case of Quickswitch 4 of the six modes, though one of the images have him in sort of a half tank/half armored carrier mode that actually really works.

For those on the fence...

I'm glad I got mine when I did, but there's definitely a feeling of being slightly cheated in the Quality Control department. As with my other Titans Return figures, the joints are really flopping, but also:

- Rodimus Prime's neck requires exceptional torque to turn. I can't do it with my fingers, or by slotting it into a figure and turning it. It definitely feels like it's going to break eventually (I might try loosening his torso and seeing if that addresses it.

- Quickswitch's knees are so loose it is very difficult to stand him. I finally applied nail polish last night, but since they're hinges rather than ball joints, I don't expect that to really solve the problem.

- One of Quickswitch's wing joints (the piece that connects the wing to the body) is warped enough that the hole to mount his gun can't be used. It's not a deal breaker for me, because I don't use those holes on Quickswitch (if it were that way for Sixshot I'd be furious), but it does annoy me a lot.

- Optimus's stickers are really, really pretty in person, but mine were misapplied - they are cut very specifically to slot into the detailing along the top and bottom of the tank, but they were applied at least an eighth of an inch too high, so they are crinkled and loose along the top edge.

No problems with the other two.

Addition:

Being able to squeeze a decent boat mode out of Quickswitch partly ameliorated my misgivings about him.

My Six's knees are almost as bad, but this seemed a little bit worse - might be my imagination, though. Also the right shoulder is loose on both of them - it's surprising that both figures would have the same, asymmetric issue.

I just chatted with a Hasbro rep - they can't replace my stickers, which makes me sad, but they're sending me a complementary Transformer as a consolation for my disappointment.

It should be interesting to see what I get.
