Twinferno is likely a case of Trademark loss, being merely a substitute name. I'd bet that if Hasbro could have used the name "Doublecross" they would have.

Bumblebee and Optimus are both iconic enough to have all of the mainstream media versions similar to one another across the board.

G1 Chase and Rescue Bots Chase, however, are as different (maybe even moreso) in character and appearance as G1 Grimlock and RID Grimlock. It is evident that Hasbro wants to keep the names "Chase" and "Grimlock" attached to the currently-more-familiar-to-the-kids-of-today cartoon characters while their G1 namesakes get new aliases that avoid confusion between the different iterations of the same-named characters from inside and outside the cartoon franchises.

I believe it's a bit more problematic than that, guys, but Rescue Bots does provide an excellent case in point.

Let's start by examining the Rescue Bot trademarks compared to other lines. A good one would be "Blades" as it's already vulnerable in a sense because it has the "Autobot" prefix since 2008:


Universe 2008 Autobot Blades

Fast forward to now, and we have two new variations:


Generations Protectobot Blades


Rescue Bots Blades The Copter-Bot

The bolded text is the actual trademark used. In short, "Blades" on its own, no prefixes, is a no-go. Rescue Bots cleverly circumvents that by trademarking the character's full title, like the later 2007 Movie Fast Action Battlers did. Note the occasional omission of "Autobot" and "Decepticon" of those toys a regular release would normally have. It seems the longer the actual trademark, the more unique, the better protected.

The same principle can be applied to "Chase". It seems on its own (or even with "Autobot") it's a dud, but as "Chase The Police-Bot" it's perfectly fine. Remember, Rescue Bots trademarks full titles, a slightly different principle compared to Generations and RiD 2015. Put bluntly, that line is no real indicator of what names are actually available.

I so called Bumblebee being used for a Throttlebot!

:EDIT: And you know what? I've taken a closer look at the head sculpt, and it's not Chase: it's a combination of Freeway's and Searchlight's, the other two Throttlebots that were rumored.

I personally think that Roadburn is a better name then Chase but that's just me. And you can call it anything you want anyway. I think I'll probably get him when he comes out since I'm skipping Bee and those colors look pretty good.

Yeah surprisingly, those colors with that awful mold looks decent.

Bumblebee is a surprisingly good figure, and I'll take this over Bee any day. Well, assuming he is of the same level of quality.

I just pretend Bee has awkwardly shaped armor that he's just too chill to fix. A bit of a lazy excuse but the legs seem less out of place as all black on a primarily yellow body. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Grab an older wave Titan Master, bring it to the self check-out, and scan it once for each of the wave 3 guys you want to get. You could either actually buy that one or just take it back to the shelf after you've completed your purchase.

Nice, I was hoping to pick up this mold, but didn't want to add yet another Bee to my collection. This will do perfectly!

If this ever happens again, just tell them, "if you had this on your shelves, that must mean that you either intended to sell them or one of your employees/coworkers is so inept at their job that they were unable to follow simple directions." If you don't get banned or kicked out it will work this works best on managers BTW (I, Terrsolpix, am not liable for any life time bans or sassy attitudes from employees from my patent pending technique.)

Look what I found at a Walmart in Indian trial, NC. The chances of you finding it in your Walmart is unicely because these titanmastersites were not found in the system and were put in manually. All of them were there but I only bought 3.

Seems like everyone at walmart is getting problems with the titan masters. If walmart actually gave a care about it's customers I'd suggest contacting the company directly and explain the situation.

The last time I went to walmart it was very unpleasant to say the least. Never go into their pet section, the fish situation is depressing and whoever is in charge should be put in jail. (Or a small container of nasty water!)

So sorry for your hassle, but I'm so glad to see I was not the only one to have this issue(see others and myself a few pages back). I fought it with customer service. But yes Wal-Mart is inept and I echo your sentiments.

If this turns out to be true then we might actually see the entirety of the remaining 2017 waves at Toy Fair. If wave 6 comes in July then we'll have already seen them online before SDCC in July so they couldn't announce them there. This is why making HasbroCon yet another con for the later half of the year (with SDCC, CybertronCon, and NYCC) was such a bad idea, it spreads their reveals too thin. Let's not forget that they started revealing wave 4 back in October when wave 2 was showing up so revealing wave 6 when wave 4 is released isn't a huge stretch.

Of course. It's a more streamlined design and has less junk parts hindering the overall look. Even if it's inaccurate to G1, it at least has the IDW look going for him.

Fellow Seibertronian Highbrowseyebrows (excellent name) came across the three new Titan Master molds from the third wave of Titans Return figures, in a Walmart in Indian Trail, North Carolina. They were yet to appear in the system, but Fangry, Ptero and Sawback were acquired nonetheless - check them out, and happy hunting!

The sales clerk mentioned inept co-workers as to why, then told me if it ain't in the system NO SALE. :/
