Since they were all reprints of comics already available in print, they offered very little collectability. And the artwork can be seen in the original comics which are far more collectable. Many actually preffered the cards since they were unique and some even featured different artwork than the box, giving people this different artwork in print form. Also, having the cards for the aerialbots but not air raid pissed a lot of people off.

They were probably the one of only two things that were nostalgic for me in CW, I was sad when I heard that I wouldn't be getting any other cards from the deluxes :(

At the end of the day, it's your decision. Personally, 100% yes to Wheelie, sure, he's annoying like you, but unlike you, he's a damn good looking figure. :-P

As for Deluxe ... again, personally, I'd go one of the "traditional" Headmasters like Hardhead.

IF you want a Voyager, skip Sentinel and just go for the Astrotrain repaint, he'll look better in your collection.

Amazing advice, that's exactly the route I am personally taking as well. Hasbro went all out on those original headmasters, it is really a sight to behold.

DigitalBrave3 wrote:Does anybody else feel that these Titans aren't returning fast enough? I'm already prepared for my wallet to suffer because if this line.

Well, they are coming exactly when Hasbro said they would come, in the second half of the year with saturation in the fall. So that means this:
They will first show up on shelves late this month early next month
It will be sparse sightings at first, with some stores getting one box or none
This will keep happening till late august/early september where you should see them sticking around on the shelves. Then again it seems Skylynx never reached saturation in the states (meaning everyone who wants one has one at one of their local stores) so who knows.

But in short, some of us will be owning these within a month's time :)

Just saw the prices for the deluxe and voyagers on bbts, not sure why they're being marked up so much, guess they don't care as most of them have sold out (save blurr *snigger*)

Nah, just something I said earlier was that with everyone scrambling to get TT's blurr, tr blurr would be easy to get, then to open bbts and see him be the only pre-order not sold out was hilarious

Wasn't the cover art different for the CW pack-in comics than the original run? That alone can make them more collectible (and the likely smaller print run than the original issues). Additionally, there were design sketches and artist notes about the included figure at the back. It is enough different to be desirable to at least one comic collector with two thumbs....this guy! I do think the cards could have been super awesome! As has been mentioned before, I wish they would have taken a page from the old baseball cards and include the awesome figure art on the front like they did, but had bio and abilities on the back. I suppose this would have been problematic for TR as technically many of these are two figures...robot and Titanmaster.

Ya. Is that the new MSRP? I almost pulled the trigger on a pre-order just to get some early candy, but changed my mind. If that's the new MSRP, surely Target and Walmart will knock a buck or two off there shelf price, like what was the case on CW toys.

The msrp of the cw figures was $18, I believe, but everyone knocked off several bucks because they probably though $18 for a deluxe is pushing it. But $19 for a deluxe is now crossing a line - especially with how hollow and thin the plastic is, that and the overall general lack of paint apps makes this price appalling

And speaking of appalling, why is Grand Galvatronus $200 at tfsource :BANG_HEAD:

Ya. Is that the new MSRP?

The retail prices have been confirmed in the TRU database and the only classes to increase in price are the deluxe and titan class. Voyager and Leader remain the same, so yeah that MSRP seems to mak sense.

If the price for deluxes goes up everywhere, I may pass on this entire line.
$9-$10 during previous lines was so good.
$15 for legit combiner limbs was alright.
Pushing $20 for a deluxe... That gets real tough for me to justify.

I'm really really hoping that a third party will make a legit head as part of a set for Galvatron.
The bot mode is completely ruined for me because of the "mask".

I caught that, but since I was comparing comics over cards, I thought that the fact that the cards have art different from the backing card made them even more special than the reprinted comics that reused the backing art. But the longer bios and extra art in the back was something I forgot that would make them fun to collect. But hey, I wont argue, if you like having those new comic cover, way to go!
In the cards have a higher price on the aftermarket than the reprinted comics (which have close to 0 resale value at the moment) but I think its because they simply didnt come to the states so its a toss up as to what people preffer. I think in the end, as long as its the same across the line I think people will be fine. But giving 3 aerialbot cards and the last one coming with a comic is kind of rough. Especially when those comics exist out there.

I just came back from walmart and had to spend 4 bucks on 3 green peppers, what the hell?!

But you know, I dont mind deluxes at 20$, since walmart and TRU have sales every quarter so you can get them at 15$. And that sure beats paying 20.99 for Marvel Legends which have 0 Japanese engineering cost http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/prod ... ode=retail

In the UK I'm dreading what the rrp will become if the argos price of £20 (for a deluxe, voyagers become £25) set to become the norm.

Weird! Must be some kind of mistake. When I got mine a while back, they were just $159 a piece, like all of the other Takara-Tomy Mall exclusive Unite Warriors releases up to that point.

Could it be because he is actually sold out at TFSource proper and this is a set being resold at its increased second market value. That could be confirmed if you try to order 20. If they cant fulfil that, then its a secondary market listing. This toy is sold out everywhere else so thats why I am thinking this is not a primary market listing.

At BBTS I often see prices inflate on things as inventory dwindles. I bought 4 deluxe and 1 voyager Dark Energon Prime figures for like 42 bucks a year ago. Now they are marked back up to "collector" prices.
