Anyway, cool looking toy. I may have to think about retiring the repurposed FOC Blaster I currently use in my collection. I just hope that he gets a corresponding Stealjaw, Ramhorn, Rewind, and Eject to go with him.

I recently got FoC Blaster just cos I loved the character in the Marvel Comics and that was so far the best and most posable official toy of him (when I ignore the fact it's yet another Soundwave retool) but the robot mode on this looks so much better and less fat. Hopefully Steeljaw and Ramhorn will be good (hate the Steeljaw included in the FoC figure) and not bulky like that new Buzzsaw figure (least aerodynamic wings I've seen in ages) Couldn't care less about Rewind and Eject. Always found them boring.

Well, I spy little head dudes that look like the head dude with Brainstorm. So I think there is a very good chance for Blaster to be a big Voyager.I suspect Buzzsaw does SOMETHING, but I dont think he's cassette sized. Maybe he plugs into the grey thing above Blaster?

Blaster is good for G1ness, but do I want a boombox figure? Not really. Will that stop me from buying this? Probably not.

Yeah, that Steeljaw does suck. The FOC Ramhorn isn't bad, though. FOC Rewind and Eject are kind of meh. Nor bad, but not amazing, either. You may find 'em boring, but to me, I'd need them to complete the collection. On the other hand, the orange bird whose name I can't recall and I am too lazy to look up at the moment, he I couldn't care less about as he has no G1 equivalent from back in the day. I have the FOC version simply because he came in a two-pack. If a hypothetical new version was sold individually, he'd be a pass for me.

Boombox mode looks kind of derpy, but I'm just hella glad that there's a Blaster on the way that isn't a retool of a Soundwave.

Yeah I mainly got FoC Blaster cos he was cheap in a sale but it turned out I liked him more than I thought I would but would happily sell it on if this one came out. Don't care for the boombox mode here though (even FoC Blaster makes a better unofficial boombox) but I just really like that robot mode for him. I hope he's a Voyager class as that's again one of the reasons I bought the FoC. I'm building up my own version of the Wreckers in mostly Voyager scale with Springer, Sandstorm, Hot Rod (in progress custom of Springer), DotM Ironhide (it's a G1/movie multiversal group ) with Deluxes like AoE Bee and 2007Movie Arcee as 'scouts'. Leader class would be too big for Blaster. I know the old G1 figure was pretty tall but always looked silly when you had him fight Soundwave who was only about two thirds that size if that.

Is Sunder the name of the bird they added to Blaster just to reuse Buzzsaw/Laserbeak? Man, I miss the days where Autobots and Decepticons never shared molds with the opposite faction.

That gun-slab thing on top of 'base-mode', could that be a legends cassette?

As much as I'd like a new Predaking I think if that Titan Wars line art is a preview of what's to come in 2017 Fort Max will be the titan for that year.That really brings into question who next years titan will be. There really isn't any other contenders for a larger combiner like that. What? Are they going to do Raiden? Maybe a G2 repaint of Devy? I'm seriously surprised that they are't doing any beast combiners with next year being Beast Wars 20th anniversary. Unless they're lying to us which is entirely possible but unlikely.

I never cared much for Blaster, but if this is no bigger than a Voyager, I may just get him.

BTW, if you look closely at Blaster's base mode you can see what looks like small robots on him. I really don't want him to be a Headmaster, but he might be, there's a little robot the same color as him manning the gun in his left arm in base mode. With the chest door open there's no obvious place for a head to be tucked inside his body and there's that suspicious looking protrusion where his neck should be. That shuttle figure from the line art was also a Headmaster along with Fort Max so it's possible that Titan Wars is an entire Headmaster line.

I was trying to figure out where the big gun on top of the base mode came from attached to the handle, but then realized it probably folds into a tape.

Headmasters, and little dudes, and base modes...can't wait!

Hmm, well it's not a combiner, it doesn't look very cool, I never cared much for blaster (cassetticons on the other hand...) probably going to be jumping back off the collecting train for a while after cw gets over.

Might strive to Fort max if he is coming up soon, but only if he is affordable through hasbro. Might get anyone else that looks cool, that astrotrain piqued my interest, but I so seriously love the classic steam engine the evila star has going

The art does show a Headmaster with Blaster detailing so I'm pretty sure that's happening.

I love Train transformers, so I bought Evilastar and will certainly purchase whatever Hasbro gives us for Astrotrain

I will point out that this most likely has been digitally painted. There are a few little bots on him in base mode that appear to have been painted the same as the background (I numbered them 4 and 5 in the image below). It's quite possible that whoever did the paint didn't notice the orange guy was there. Other possible mistakes I'm seeing is on the side of Blaster's leg the half of the large speaker is white in the center, but black on the radio. In radio mode his black hands are painted orange. In base mode the stock of his gun was painted yellow like his chest.



Doesn't look like they're at the hand painted prototype stage just yet.

meh, not overly impressed. Bot mode looks good, but once again, forcing in a gimmick, in this case the "city" mode, has made the alt mode look weird.

How does the alt mode look weird? It is a boombox, that's what they look like, right?

The speakers look weird, and I have a hard time remembering a system where the tape deck wasn't flush with the rest of the system. In this particular instance it really sticks out like a sore thumb.

But mostly ... personal preference.

If its voyager size Im interested, otherwise not really. I dont care about a base mode im not looking for playability. Also not digging the enlarged speakers. Does that mean the speakers on his legs in robot mode are fake ?

That's probably for some tape-former ejecting system that fans would otherwise whine about if absent. Honestly, my first thought when looking at it, especially the speaker size, was ipod docking station
