As much as I'd love for that to be the case, given that Warden and his team seem to be under the delusion that shows from that era (as in, the height of MY childhood) are "too obscure" for people to care about nowadays, it's probably just a coincidence.ZeroWolf wrote:Maybe it's a cute nod to another mainframe cartoon from the late nineties/early noughties

Eh, RiD was post-90s, so I figure he sees it as from the era after that (which had Armada and he seems to like Armada).ZeroWolf wrote:Sabrblade wrote:As much as I'd love for that to be the case, given that Warden and his team seem to be under the delusion that shows from that era (as in, the height of MY childhood) are "too obscure" for people to care about nowadays, it's probably just a coincidence.ZeroWolf wrote:Maybe it's a cute nod to another mainframe cartoon from the late nineties/early noughties
Oh I know, he seems to have remembered some shows past that time mind (with UM car robots/rid 2001 inspired alt mode) still, would be a nice thought that one of the designers managed to sneak it in, even if it's highly improbable.

Yeah, unless we start seeing explicit Machine Wars homages, this brand team probably just zoned out everything from after G2 to before RiD 2001.ZeroWolf wrote:But that's it, I thought rid 2001 would have been more obscure than beast wars, but he does have it in for anything that has a beast mode...unless it came from the holy bible of G1 of course

ZeroWolf wrote:Well so far there's only two of them (non movie characters) and hasbro has to make money somewhere. I mean yes we get sensible repainted like tat screamer and dotm rachet but the need to be economical. Where else would they put repaints like that

100%, it goes against what their whole premise was.
ZeroWolf wrote:But repaints make business sense and that profit margin they have to keep, otherwise the share holders would kick off. Repaints help keep hasbro costs down. It's not ideal for us as consumers, but cest la vie

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.
Thank you!! That solved the gap problem on mine - muuuuch cleaner!ToaLeePrime wrote:There's a trick to getting rid of the gaps in vehicle mode. Underneath the roof of the car is a clear blue peg, and in the back of the waist there is a peg hole, make sure they are tabbed together and you will get a much cleaner car mode.
More like nonexistent.. looking at steps 12-13, there is no mention of that tab/peg AT all.-Kanrabat- wrote:Why so many people got the "gappy car"? As mentioned above, there's a tab behind Jazz's waist that tab under the roof. THAT is what will remove the gaps. My guess is the instructions are obviously unclear for this step.
