And Yeah, the Prime Beast Hunters version was the first version of Abominus I saw, so hearing about the G1 configuration was a bit of a shock, and it was the way I tried to combine my G1 Terrorcons the first time and had to nope that off.

I prefer it as well because the flying guy looks better as an arm in most combiners, and funny enough, on all 3 Beast combiners I have from PotP, the flying guy is the right arm. And Blot and Rippersnapper make much more solid legs and forms kneepads. And Sinnertwin's gun makes for good symmetry with Cutthroat's bird head.

The faction symbols on P/CP flip down and there are peg holes for the armor. The only point of concern I have, and this is forcing myself to find something, is how much clear plastic is used in load bearing areas.

Oh thank god it's the Jazz hand mold. That means (if the faction symbols do indeed fold down and reveal a port) We can actually give him a jet-pack for either form

Am I the only one getting lolz from the fact that G1 Abby's head is bigger than PotP Abby's head?

I am waiting for a third party sword or axe to give Volcanicus. Kinda just want to get the G1 weapons for Abominus. I use Onslaught's rifle for Bruticus, and that works decently well.

My Novastar is coming from Amazon already, so my Elita Infinite will be 4/5 done. Waiting on Wreck-Gar to complete that one.

I might need to get one of the Combiner Wars Aerialbots to convert into a Decepticon (likely Air Raid) to make King Starscream complete. The addition of Take Off makes this an easier venture.

I don't think you'll need to worry too much about that. The clear plastic windows are separate from the frame they're in. In other words, it's not a whole clear plastic piece painted over like they did with Jazz.

Now that we know that Punch/Counterpunch indeed comes with "Prime Armor" and can interact with the Prime Masters in exactly the same way as the other Deluxe class figures can in this line, does that change the opinions of the naysayers who claimed Punch/Counterpunch isn't a "real" Power of the Primes figure?

It's a complete pain if there is no receipt, and that includes Amazon. Usually they'll give you the lowest price within the last 30 days or whatever. Amazon will go the extra mile and look up the order. So the good thing is you'll get the price paid. Bad thing is it's uncommon for them to do and you gotta make sure the giver isn't alerted. One of the few things Amazon customer service isn't good at in my experience.

Nope, if anything, it makes it more ridiculous. Why come with a Hand/Heel Support if it can't be an arm or a leg?... . Even with all this, I'm not saying people shouldn't like the figure, or get it if they want it. It's just an aberration that would have fit much better in Siege than PotP. It doesn't fit in my combiner system, so I have no desire to acquire this figure.

Because it allows this figure to actually use a prime master like the ones he comes with. He wouldnt fit in siege at all.

Take away the Prime Master (which isn't integral to him anyway), and make his exterior bumpy/battle damaged.

Ah, so you admit that the figure does have to be changed from how it currently is in order for it to fit the Siege aesthetic, meaning that it doesn't presently conform to the Siege aesthetic.

It would need a bit more than that I would have thought still it is what hasbro says it is.

Umm...sure, whatever, as long as ya'll also agree P/CP doesn't conform to the PotP aesthetic, (NOT a LIMB) we can agree to disagree. In any case comparing P/CP to say Siege Sideswipe (which doesn't appear to have battle damage or a Cybertronian mode), I retract my last statement.

Not necessarily. He could be really good at dodging blasts and physical assault and thus have an unblemished paint job.

Regardless of category, I'm just grateful Hasbro found some avenue to release them. They're some true fan favorites. (boxed exclusives like Punch... plus Wreck-Gar, etc.)

It somehow still feels like the POTP line got cut short, though maybe Hasbro has a plan to eventually release: missing limbs for Starscream and Elita-Inf1nite .... combiners like Monstructor, Piranacon, Dinoking...) I know many of us are still wondering about them.

Heck, I'd take a 4-pack of G1 seekers from the Unite Warrior mold. (By preference with Hotlink/clone as the fourth limb).

It really makes me miss Botcon and the Club right about now. That was a great route to direct obscure characters and those missing from the role call. Placing my fleeting hopes in TakaraTomy Mall, eHobby, store exclusives...

Nah, "battle damage" is just the trendy thing all the bots are into now, like tribal arm bands. Once the fad is over they will all have the regrets.

Here's to hoping the battle damage wipes off with rubbing alcohol

To be fair, they are fighting a war, you can't stay clean doing that I mean would you prefer moulded battle damage

I'm open to battle damage molding and paint, but only if the design gets really gritty and Battletech looking. I'd love to see some missile batteries, launchers, etc.

In regards to the club, did you get that Unite Warriors Starscream redeco they released? Thats why I dont miss the club one bit, inorder to get that figure (even though one would hope for a thundercracker instead of a SG Starscream), you have to get the subscriptions filled with other overpriced figures you dont want.

Anyways, I dont think the line was cut short, and the torsos having no dedicated limbs is instead to me indication that they are being transparent in there being no rhyme or reason to this. Its just characters they had not released yet in the Generations line and they had gotten feedback that their combining gimmick worked well so it was give to everyone so that any kid or parent could buy toys from the line on the shelf and have the option of combinging it together.

If there was any semblance of limb dedication or extra teams, Takara would have done something, even release them in the same wave (which they did for Abominus and Volcanicus) but they didnt even do that and instead released starscream with only the following 3 limbs in his wave : moonracer, dreadwind and blackwing.

So yeah doesnt seem cut short at all, just seems random and its no different than making everone a headmaster in the same line so that random characters can interact with eachother.

Now, while i dont think there was more planned for mass retail, there were definite plans for other boxsets or exclusives. There are definite hints at mosntructor or dinoking and part of me still thinks those boxsets will come out.
