Hoping we still get that wreck gar repaint of Groove to cover the leg limbs in proper G2 colors along with Funpub bluestreak as a stand in for streetwise. First Aid is about the same in white. And unfortunately we dont get a all dark blue copter but Alpha Bravo will finally have a purpose to exist.
G2 FTW
You can always borrow the Baldigus copter to make it happen.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

Well that and I may or may not be slowly tearing apart and repainting spare Titans Return figures for the Pretender robot modes... (Pics in the customization forum once I'm satisfied).

The tooling exists, so he will be released because otherwise we'll be missing a Prime. We have 12 Primes to release, and with them 12 Pretender Shells (I know, they're called "Decoy Suits"), and right now, thanks to leaks, we're missing only 3.

Did anyone else notice that Starscream's torso mode somewhat resembles his Bayhem movie body? Not sure if that's an intention nod.

That was confirmed by hasbro in an interview. All mainline deluxes and voyagers are combining.

Even Darkwing and Dreadwind in spite of doing the combining with each others? Does that make them triple-combiners? Not sure what to call a toy designed to combine in two different ways.

Indeed, I think we can be pretty sure by this point that PotP is basically "Combiner Wars 2.0" and "Titans Return 1.5" both at once - and personally, I'm pretty okay with that!Ultra Markus wrote:it seems that so far all the voyagers and deluxes are combiners
I must respectfully disagree - though admittedly there are a few flaws here and there, I'm still extremely hyped on the whole. Combiner fatigue aside (which I probably also got over quicker than most, since I only ended up with a total of 3 non-Devy combiners), the first couple waves look way more interesting and fun than the equivalent waves of CW. I mean heck, would you rather have 5 jets, 4 cars and a couple trucks - or a wide variety of dinosaurs, monsters and a couple cars and planes for variety? Not saying PotP is going to be mindblowingly incredible, but I know that personally it'll be incredible enough to blow my puny little mind.chuckdawg1999 wrote:Seeing more pics I have to say I'm just not impressed with the deluxes and voyagers in POP. The limbs look same old, same old; the new hands look terrible, the original mold was fine; and the actual figures just look off.

Yes, even Dreadwind and Darkwing, I believe. They do both come with the crappy new combiner hand. I mean armor.
Actually, that gives me a few slightly different thoughts. I'm guessing the Darkwing/Dreadwind Combo uses the combiner peg from one of them, meaning the other has both a peg and a port. I'm wondering if you can fanmode both of them into a funky misshapen arm or leg.
Also, for the one with both a peg and a port, can they combine with any of the other figures, say maybe the arielbot jets?
william-james88 wrote:I personally am a bit saddened that since this toy is based on Silverbolt (which I believe it is), I can already predict the transformation and wont behold the same amount of awe when transforming it. Still buying it though (if Toysrus is till around in Canada), that combiner will look amazing.

Jazz was found on Elita-1, whereas the jets were found on Starscream... along with Rippersnapper. The Dreadwind and BlackwingDarkwing combination is unique to them, but it looks like the back end can connect to any Aerialbot. The wings stay in place tho.

There are 4 types of changes designers make.
2. Retool - same figure with additional or altered parts. (Springer, Sandstorm)
3. Reshell - same core figure and transformation but with the majority of parts replaced. (PM Optimus, Ultra Magnus)
4. Remold - same skeletal structure, but with little to no direct partsharing. (Alpha Trion, Broadside)

These are all your personal fan definitions, there is no set rule aside from the only definition of retool used in the toy industry where remold and retool is interchangeable. anything else, especially since its not agreed upon is the same as fanfiction.
Also Aphra Trion and Braodside have a crap ton of the exact same parts.

Yes, that's why I prefaced it with "how I see it" these are the 4 levels of change that I see happening lately. And the names were just easy for the sake of the example. The four levels of alteration were more important than what they were called. (Although I do feel like we should have a big, site-wide discussion on terminology, just to prevent everyone from arguing semantics.)
I couldn't really think of a good example for number 4, we haven't had too many cases like this. I'm open to suggestion.

Firstly, I didnt see that line preface it for some reason. But regardless it is no reason to be such a jerk as I was. I edited my post above to better reflect what I was incapable of typing at the time for some reason. Its late and I am not feeling well and I thank you for your calm demeaner. Wouldn't make that much sense to retool those just panels. Besides, the leaks were of such quality that distortions when enlarged could easily occur, then there's Hasbro's penchant for mistransforming.
