Also I still can't make out where they hide the steps in robot mode, seem like they magically hide away in the back of his calf???? I know some people gripe about long complex transformations but I love em. I go back a forth trying to find what order is the most efficient. Looks like I'm gonna have a blast with this thing.

Yeah I'm not sure where they go either, but "Step Magic" may be the new trend!

I'm sure it'll fit together better and more consistently than Apollyon, and that's all I really ask of any of my Transformers.

Rewatching the first Transformers movie felt like a pretty sweet homecoming, and it's great to see this Prime get released slowly in stores. He and Bee would be some of my best TF purchases yet!

I lived in Singapore for a while (near Commonwealth) and what you can get there for $1 is not that different to what you can get in the US for $1 (in terms of consumer goods), so thats a really high price to pay.

Man do I miss that Indonesian curry, I have never eaten more vegetables before or since.

Awesome, just awesome. One thing tho, those front headlights look like they should be able to fold back, no? If not its no biggie, this is still going to dethrone my buster prime for sure it just really look like they should fold back flush but in every pick they are sticking way out. Can anyone confirm that they are fixed stuck out like that or on a hinge.

Looks like a hinge to me. In fact, you can see them flexed back in a few photos and then out flush for whatever reason in others

They are rounded in the back, so they will always stick out to the sides.

That makes me a little concerned about the Aussie retail price, as the exchange is pretty much 1:1 with Singapore. Hopefully it's around 150.

It's a done deal regardless, seeing as it's such a thing of beauty, I'm just hoping to minimise the pain.

So, I've had my copy for 12-ish hours and the vehicle mode is quite a let down. One of the main issues is how poorly everything tabs together when it comes to the cab. I don't know if it's because of their last-minute alteration to fix the gaps in the chest, but the windows don't sit flush, the hood cannot stay flat and the side doors cannot tab in properly... This seems to be a universal issue as it's the same on TCracker's copy (as can be seen in the pictures). Frankly, it's really disappointing for an expensive Masterpiece figure.

Are the ones we have still not finalized yet? Only time will tell. There are missing paint apps on the die-cast including the gold rings on the belly and blue stripes on the feet. The bot mode's pretty good, though, so if you're going to get this, definitely do so for the bot mode.

Still, these issues didn't stop me from having some fun :
