I agree...TF seems to be appealing, not only to adults but kids especially. Here's a story to relate how big it is:
i was at the symphony with my wife Friday night. While waiting at the bar during intermission, there was a four year old and his mom standing behind me. I asked him if he was enjoying the music and he nodded. His mom told me that when the orchestra started the last song, he sat up and said "PG-13!" (They symphony had played a suite from "Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind"). I asked him, "You knew the song?" He said, "I thought it was 'Transformers'." (at which point we chatted further about the movie. Smart kid. Point is, the kids ATE THIS MOVIE UP! I'm not surprised it's doing so well...the kids are pushing the parents to get it. And yes, Spidey 3 was a HUGE disappointment.
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.
