Japanese retail price is listed as equating to $315, so BBTS's price isn't that far higher.Bucky wrote:As disheartening as that price is at first glance, it does say right below it that “price is not final and may decrease.” Plus this is just for BBTS. Ordering through HLJ, Amiami, and Anime-Export are generally the cheaper options. Especially when you preorder through the latter, although you do pay upfront, rather than when the product comes in.
It might not be so bad.

Yeah, but expecting isn't the same as actually seeing the price. Sticker shock is real.
I want this figure, I want it a lot, but damn, that is a really high price even by the 3rd party standards I'm use to. It's hard to justify.

I think it will be easier to justify in restrospect when it sells on e-bay for 500$ in 2 years.

I made mention of this before and how I see such electronics as nothing but a negative. What they should do, is pull the electronics out of MP Megatron, out of MP Primal and throw them in the bin. Use the default light piping and accessories as with the majority of the Masterpiece Collection, because THAT is what it is supposed to be. A line for collectors. Electronics are for toys, which at their price point these barely ascribe to that definition.
