Kurona wrote:I doubt we'll get the later-year cassetticons like Squawktalk unless they make them a redeco of Laserbeak though. At best the latest cassetticon we'll get would be Slugfest and Overkill since those are the last cassettes that appeared in the cartoon.
I'm still surprised to hear people say things like this. There is no room in the MP line for no effort repaints. Like, if a character is different enough to have his own mold or midifications, he does. Best example I can think of to prove my point, TFCC's new Counterpunch. That's a clear instance of something that isn't right, but made workable, just cuz. Show me one time the MP line has done that? The only thing that comes close is MP-2 Ultra Magnus, but I still say it works because the OG toy did indeed have a fully transformable white Prime that looked like that.Kurona wrote:I doubt we'll get the later-year cassetticons like Squawktalk unless they make them a redeco of Laserbeak though.

This very set - Wingthing being a redeco of Ratbat

Invalid! Wingthing was redecoed from G1 Ratbat and included with Encore Soundblaster, therefore there is a precedent.
It's accurate to his original Japanese appearance.Kurona wrote:Sigma Magnus wrote:Kurona wrote:shajaki wrote:I'm still surprised to hear people say things like this. It may be precedent, but it's still not accurate to his original appearance

While the colours look good on Stripes, I still think the mold is inferior to Device Label Ravage who could move his jaw, making him more expressive.
I never liked Nightstalker using Steeljaws molds. I always saw him as Ravage's twin and felt he should have shared Ravage's mold.
Anyway else find it interesting that if you translate Enemy's name to Hebrew, we've got a Transformer named Satan?

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

Or instead of a black repaint of a black toy you could buy a second Ravage and slap an Autobot logo on himWindsweeper wrote:

Yes.kurthy wrote:If you ship Frenzy and Enemy, do you get Frenemy?
Just noticing Stripes's hind quarters are retooled. I wonder if they could combine Nightstalker's front half with Stripes's back to get Steeljaw?ScottyP wrote:I hope Nightstalker's very weird looking missiles are just a play on that toy using Ravage's missiles instead of Steeljaw's cannons. Steeljaw will need some serious retooling from that to look right.
