I dunno, the MP Grimlock toy seemed like it had a lot of care that went into it. The designer (can't recall which it was, I'll have to look that up later ) even said he went as far as to seek inspiration for its T-Rex neck/tail gimmick from the Beast Machines Rattrap toy, which sounds like he cared a lot about the project if he went as far as to seek out a gimmick from a completely unrelated and nearly irrelevant (by today's point in time) toy.

And for MP Rodimus, the developers were inspired by the engineering from Animated Rodimus Minor. Also, I woulf din it very hard not to notice any love that went into MP 01

I already said MP-01 and MP08 are decent, did I not? I believe I said the mold for Grimlock was great, the problem is the size when standing next to MP-01 and MP-05.
Edit, also, if TakaraTomy had released the pic below, would you honestly pick a gold MP-05 over a new v2 Megatron? I'm not going to turn this into a 3rd party discussion. This is all I'll say on that figure. If this was from TT, people would be jumping through the roof in excitement.
Watch the first of my youtube series, Friends Transform.

The fact that I still don't have a MP-05 is not really a price issue. It's mainly that for the ammount it cost, there is way too much expensive TFs that I want instead.
Like his original G1 version?
Indeed.
Come see my latest creations, SHATTERED GLASS G1 METROPLEX, HERE!
I never really liked the MP Megatron. Seeing it in gold really doesn't help, especially with the face still grey. I only have the first Masterpiece Optimus (the toys r us 25th anniversary edition I believe). I REALLY want more of the MP line, but I can't afford figures like that. Though one I REALLY want is MP Grimlock (any version) so I can stick him on the shelf where I put all my Classics/Generations/Universe/Reveal The Shield Autobots
Thanks to Ebay seller lena81822 we once again have more in-hand pictures of the Transformers Masterpiece 30th Anniversary Exclusive MP-05 Megatron courtesy of a current auction for this golden Masterpiece.
For those out there who are still or newly interested in the Takara Tomy reissue of MP-05 Megatron, with new gold deco and added Reflector accessory, the usual eBay seller lena81822 has a bunch of in-hand pictures accompanying their auction - check them out mirrored below, and compare them to the original figure in the Seibertron.com galleries!

Oh for christ's sake, I know MP megs is one of the more frustrating fidgety transformers out there, but dis guy, dis guy its like he/she/they actively despise correct transformations.
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Why is the test shot in standard Megatron colors? And why does MP-05 look so much better with that color scheme? If that's actually what the reissue will look like when unpainted, then I'm going to need a lot of nail polish remover...

Guess they were just testing the mold was still ok.

That was partially in jest. I say "partially" because my sleep-deprived brain somehow completely skipped over that eBay listing. Has anyone else bought one of those test shots? If so, does it have the same die cast pieces as the original? Thanks!

Definitely a pass for me! I don't see a reason to go for the same out of scale, fragile mishap in ugly gold color! Instead I will pick and give a chance to the MX-I Apollyon
