AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Legacy would be a great format for a Transformers anthology series. One off episodes or mini series based on the lesser known/explored parts of the franchise. Transtech, Machine Wars, Marvel Run, Dreamwave, Devil's Due, IDW etc The comics have all had at least one story that would be really cool to see in motion. Giving a proper finale to the cancelled projects too EG Animated.
The line already exists to support the show, after all.
Nemesis Primal wrote:Well JTPrime found the listings/product codes for the 2024 Commander and Titan....but they don't say who they are.
Tra Gen Legacy UNI Commander
Product Number: F8
Tra Gen Legacy UNI Titan
Product Number: F8512
He did drop 2 hints alongside those codes though: one being that the "Uni" in all the listings is short for United, and the other probably more important one being that the Amazon capsule for 2024 is themed around Mayhem (which sounds like a good place for things like G1 Skyquake and the rest of the Deluxe Insecticons to go).

Huh?

It's like it's 2021 all over again: size class does not equal height. My guess is it's going to go into the engineering, and both modes should have a sizeable wingspan. Whether he'll justify the voyager class price for fans is an open question, but I'm not surprised by the class in any event.
AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Height and mass for a medium sized character didn't necessitate a class change. He also isn't exactly an intricate figure/design in either mode. That needed extra size to be "fixed".
The wingspan wasn't a source of complaint for the deluxe figure. Only that there should have been a hinge to pivot the angle of the back kibble in bot mode.
AllNewSuperRobot wrote:I didn't say it was the "wrong class", like a child/fanboy. I queried why there was an upscale?

I didn't call you a child or a fanboy, and I already said I don't know why it went up a size class. There are multiple generations figures who have changed class recently without being any taller, and it's generally reflected in the part count and engineering.
D-Maximal_Primal wrote:I have always considered Silverbolt a larger character, and I had always hoped he'd get a voyager grade toy.
For one thing, beast wars deluxes are not modern deluxes in any capacity, and to me compared to the recent beasts it feels small.
Some comparison pics. He is kneeling to be about the same height as Blackarachnia (deluxe), and he's about a head shorter than TM Megatron, who is of comparable height to his OG body, which got a Leader toy. And I would think Quickstrike would be a Cliffjumper-esque deluxe, so the scale would be good there too.
Spider5800 wrote: Blackarachnia was one of the smallest characters on the show, roughly the same height as Rattrap, but her toy was like twice Rattrap's toy height.

Interestingly, Transmetal 2 Dinobot should also be leader class at that scale, and everyone bigger than that probably makes more sense at commander, which is kind of nuts.
AllNewSuperRobot wrote:One of the reasons it is highly doubtful the TM line will appear in the Masterpiece collection.
I don't think I ever noticed that TM2 Blackarachnia was still that small

Yep, her toy was the equivalent of a voyager today (think it was called mega class at the time?), so a lot of people misremember her getting huge in the show, but she was still the same height.
Nemesis Primal wrote:That odd Deluxe G1 Optimus being a Wave 4 release makes it even more strange, considering that implies it's a retool like Slipstream likely is (unless Quake isn't a new mold?).
