I'm sure you could do better than $60 for all five Dinobots if you sold them on ebay. A lot better.
After both this announcement, and all the dislike I'm seeing online I'm not so sure. Seems like everyone is either satisfied with what they already have, or waiting for SS86 Dinos. I know I see lots of auctions asking for 100+ for a loose/complete Volcanicus, but I'm going to wait until the inevitable pre-order goes up on pulse, then see what someone is willing to actually pay for PotP Dinos. My guess is that they instantly just went way down in value for a variety of reasons

Some PotP combiners are still "incomplete" like the Starscream and Inferno one, then there's Orthia who's incomplete in Japan because Greenlight and Lancer never had a proper release there.

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.

I mean if we got "new" additions then people would buy them up.
It's just the case here that these Dinobots aren't new at all, just different colors and a few new accessories that aren't really special or major improvements.

It's not going to stop the non-combining SS Dinobots from coming out, it's an improvement on the original release, and plenty of people have wanted a Dinobot combiner for decades. Why is having options a bad thing?

But give me those swords!
Also, I don't remember the original looking so...odd in combined mode...

O' course, my blue swoop is a floppy mess now, but whatcha gonna do?
Yes, over in the manga thread.aronjlove wrote:Has anyone translated the new Selects manga pages? It looks crazy with Rung going off about something and a whole bunch of Soundbarriers being forged.

I think people are mainly disappointed because they were expecting/hoping Takara would do something unique along the lines of Megatronia/Grand Galvatron, especially since the dinobots were already released by Takara under PotP.
Personally, my disappointment was towards it just being a better version of something I already have, and not better enough to want to buy it. So that disappointment lasted about 2 minutes, and now I am pleased at being able to skip this version.

Please do tell me which Grimlock is miles better than this one. Classics? Fall of Cybertron who's made of butter package plastic? (I mean regular release)
Ontopic: They look better but I already have the team complete so pass for me.
Extra guns as far as I can see do look good.

Not sure which Grimlock is better, but the dinosaur mode of PotP Grimlock from the waist down is pretty bad.i think the problem most of us had with this set was waiting so many years for a modern set of Dinobots (especially after Classics Grimlock but no other Dinobots) but then seeing the sacrifices made to stick a Combiner mode into these guys was disappointing to say the least. Hopefully the Studio Series 86 Dinobots, if they're really happening, rectify this and give us the amazing Dinobots we've always dreamt of since modern Classics Generations toys began back in 2006. No pressure or anything Hasbro and Takara!

The limb Dinobots strike me as too thin or lanky, or whatever, a problem I have with a lot of the Combiner Wars molds, particularly with the legs and/or crotch area (please don't take that out of context!). It works for some characters like Alpha Bravo, but Swoop looks like he's a wimp. I want bulky Dinobots or cartoon accurate Dinobots. I'm hoping that what rumors have for Studio Series 86 will be up my alley.
