I need to know how are the ratchets in his thighs and ankles on the new feet? are they solid, can he hold his leg up under the weight of the limb bots?

Ankles are solid, surprisingly. The thighs are okay, but the hips are a bit loose for me personally, they sometimes do a squeak click so I don't know if its a faulty ratchet or not. Has a bit of a leaning-forward syndrome. However you can still pose him just takes a little bit.

Well, my hungurr couldn't hold his leg up at all, so if it's better than that, then I guess its something

After some experimentation, I've found a few things:
1) The knee joint on Gulf/Skalor is terribly weak, if you tilt Piranacon backwards the knee will just bend on its own. It's also what is causing him to lean forward.
2) The ankles aren't as tight as I thought. They are tight enough to support the weight, but they will rock on their own if gravity has a say.
3) He cannot balance on one leg, due to both of these factors.
4) He is very difficult to pose!
You can get him doing some poses, but it just takes a lot of trial and error, and it doesn't help that my copy of Skalor has one of the weakest knees known to man. I really wish there was a way to tighten the combiner peg, because I don't like that he leans forward so much.
My verdict is that the joints could be tightened, but they are manageable.
Also, I'm very paranoid about Snaptrap's arm joints/Piranacons waist joints. The plastic sometimes skips on the ratchets, and I feel like at some point the ratchet could just break. Doesn't feel strong at all. Holds in position once its there, but I really feel it could break on me after a few transformations.

huh, unfortunate then that it cost so much money, that's too bad

To get them to stand straight sometimes one click is too many, and other times it isn't enough. Other than that though, I think the system is pretty good. I love that almost every classic combiner has been reproduced as well as several new ones ever since CW back in 2015.

Came up with Arcee into Override, Hoist into Dirt Boss, and Grapple into Mudflap.
Crosswise from Smokescreen and CD Red Alert from Doubledealer have been mentioned on other threads, both of which I think are good options. I also had the thought of Mudflap, I'd especially love it if his accessories and crane hook were translucent green like the OG figure. I don't really think Override and Dirt Boss would work from those molds though, Arcee is way too different from Override in terms of proportions and Dirt Boss had a unique enough alt mode that none of the Earthrise molds really match in addition to not having Hoist's dad bod.

I'd honestly prefer the rumored/theorized coronation version. Preferably with a blue nosecone, alternate missiles under the wing along side the null rays for his arms, and maybe some toy-style tampographs, something to set it apart without being the exact same figure twice for those that already bought one Starscream. Also as a Selects there's no need for price conformity, even less so if it's a store exclusive, an extra $10 should do it.
But if we can have both, then yeah, I would take a Ghost Starscream. Howabout Selects Ghost and Amazon Coronation?

Sentinel_Primal wasn't proposing a two-pack, but rather Ghost Starscream coming equipped with the Coronation accessories (which the buyer could transfer to a regular Starscream they already had).carytheone wrote:I think that I'd prefer a Ghost Starscream, but I wouldn't say no to a coronation Screamer either. I can't say I'm a fan of the two pack idea, but it would be a really cool set.
