ok! so! we're getting a Bruticus! but we kinda knew that anyway(sort of)

so here's my rant

we've recently had this(albeit wave 4 hasn't reached the UK yet)



so any idea when we're likely to get PROPER limbs for this guy?



other than two Arielbots & Stunticons slapped onto him!(granted most are calling this his official form! just coz it's illustrated on the box, card & probably in the comic ect, but we all know we'd like to see Sweeps or something? attached to this guy)

But there are no proper limbs for the first Prime toy either, Galvatronus isnt the only extra torso. And Scattershot will be shipped without limbs too. I think that warrants a much bigger rant.

Personally I see the "official" Galvatronus limbs to be the 4 new guys. Alpha Bravo as the left leg, Offroad as the right leg, Rook as the right arm and the Hasbro blast off ( who I'm calling take off) as left arm.

I feel like I've interrupted the discussion of the new pics of Bruticus, but...like you said...it does warrant some discussion! coz....let's face it....CW is nearly reaching the end of it's run before Titan Wars comes in! there's really only after Bruticus & Computron....that Sky Lynx combiner + any repaints of any existing combiners.....by then! so if they WERE thinking of releasing proper limbs for those guys....they have only a limited time by which to do it(granted they could probably continue the cw line BEYOND when the Titan Wars come out! as there's nothing to suggest that it HAS to come to an end BEFORE the Titan Wars wave starts).

I'm a little disappointing that Onslaught has the same guns at Hot Spot, or rather he doesn't extra guns. I feel like since that's his alt mode he should have cannons built in and the hand guns as extra.

And yes I would like to see some extra Decepticon limbs even if they're just repaints just to swell up the ranks and give Galvatronus something to work with. There's still a lot of guys that could use new toys.

If it's Galvatron, you could have Scourge, Hook, Line, Sinker or Sideways as limbs. Go for a heralds theme.

Possibly. The bottom line is that TakaraTomy went all out for G1-accuracy, and since Hasbro has been substituting members/molds:

Alpha Bravo vs. Slingshot
Offroad vs. Wildrider
Rook vs. Groove
Jet Blast Off vs. Shuttle Blast Off

True, Hasbro released the first two, but there were straight redecos, ideal for Hasbro to do. Scattershot is... iffy, since he's, by definition, half-baked: Betatron is simply a recolored Superion torso.

My thought is, where does G1 accuracy stop for some people? If Takara made a cartoon accurate Bruticus, Onslaught would be mostly grey with a big Purple chest shield. Plus Blast-Off's eyes would be on his forehead.

if Hasbro(as they've done so often with this line) do reuse existing molds...............they'd probably use the Dead End/Streetwise/Prowl mold as Lightspeed! one of the arielbots(excluding Alpha Bravo mold) as Strafe! Nosecone's a difficult one? unless it's a heavy retool of Rook(with a drill attachment...unless they do use a new limb for Nosecone) & lastly lays the problem? Afterburner! coz.....if they use Groove's mold....it's obviously too small as a limb! so with that in mind..........they would probably HAVE to go with a new limb for Afterburner.

(sorry I had to adjust that there! forgot that the Silverbolt/Scattershot mold doesn't have a chestplate attachment(Rodimus/Windcharger ect)

I'd say... no. They'd have to retool Silverbolt just a bit more, for now he's just an extra torso.

I fail to understand how that is not a confirmation. When hasbro told us we would be getting combiners, that was a confirmation we were getting combiners. I dont see this being any different.

This is like the worst case of denial Ive ever seen. The head designer has it in the works. That’s confirmed. Takara is all about G1. That is their business. They delivered with a proper Groove. A proper Blast Off is coming. Its not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when.

And for the Technobots, expect similar massive retools on the same scale as Nightbird/Blackarachnia/Slipstream…

Afterburner – Groove retool
Strafe – Fireflight retool
Lightspeed – Dead End retool

Now that’s just speculation of course, but the fact that Takara is finally doing their own thing beyond just shiny paint and the MP line is real…

I have no idea what you're talking about with the orange and brown chest. But Blast Off is supposed to have a face plate, not a mouth. I'm not sure why you would want him to have a mouth. Why would you want a lazily repainted head that's not accurate, when they already have a head that's more accurate ? They should have lazily repainted the Fireflight mold.

Nosecone from Brawl would work really well. Heck, just retool him a bit (Like a new head and maybe a new chest) and give him a drill in place of that gun (He could even use it as a handheld weapon!) and bam, instant Nosecone.

You want people to get afriad that it might not get released? We know they are releasing Bruticus, and they will release him as a giftset, so why in the world would that one mold that is part of the giftset get cancelled? I dont understand your logic here.

And all the UW conbiners are giftsets, so saying it's gonna happen because it's a giftset has no weight.
I work in a development department, things can change at the drop of a hat, regardless of how mush someone in "the know" has "confirmed" it.

What do I wish?
Wish Blast-off could have been a new more space-shuttle-ish mold
Wish they could have given FOUR blades to Vortex rotors
Wish Onslaught's backpack could have had built-in cannons instead of just sticking Hotspot's remolded guns into pegs
Wish they could have added a fold-up 'ramp' at the back of Onslaught's truck mode...

Back to new mold Blast Off for Unite Warriors. Have they announced their plans? Yes. Is there a chance things fall through? Yes. But the fact such plans were publicly announced means they have faith in things going as planned, and so should we.

Me and thruster are discussing the takara release, which will be a box set. I realize how that can get people confused since this is the wrong thread for such a discussion. Sorry for the confusion, it will end here.

As you can see from the photos in the most recent article, Hasbro' Bruticus will be released as individual figures.
