I don't like to watch reviews too many times, because of that very reason. But sometimes, the instructions don't explain something properly, so watching a review is very helpful.

I know Optibotimus gets irritating sometimes, but I'm perfectly fine with watching a new review from him for help with the transformation. Hey! Why don't we complain about Baltmatrix complaining about lack of paint in EVERY SINGLE REVIEW! -_-

Back to combiner wars, please. >:oP

Edit: I agree Optibotimus needs to tone down with the lighting, if I watch him for too long, my eyes start to hurt! :P

Wow ... you continue being off-topic, then try to get everyone back on-topic, while following it up with more off-topicness.

Just tone it down already kid. You do not need to reply to every single post!

As a fully fledged member of the Aerialbots who can sub in at a moments notice?

Yup. I currently have Superion assembled in his standard formation with Firefly (I used to call him that as a kid anyway so I'm sticking with it) and Slingshot (Quickslinger just doesn't sound right to me, but I'm cool with anyone who likes the update) as the right and left arms respectively holding their pistols in a gunslinger pose. I call it Gunslinger Mode (but maybe I should call it Quickslinger Mode). And Alpha Bravo is standing in front of Superion holding his weapons and looking all "We're totally gonna kick some a--!" :michaelbay:

Why is there so much hate towards Alpha Bravo, but people are perfectly fine with Powerglide being an Aerialbot, when he wasn't an Aerialbot back in the day?

I wanted Powerglide to be a deluxe limb option instead of a minibot targetmaster. Then I'd have two alternate limbs. And I'd be perfectly happy if Powerglide came with the same rifle and hand/foot/gun as AB. :PEACE:

I don't consider Powerglide an Aerialbot, though. It's much easier to ignore Powerglide as a gun and supposed Aerialbot since he's not making a limb or anything else integral to Superion. He's an extra, not taking anyone's place, and a fairly popular existing G1 character in his own right.

But with Alpha Bravo, unless you got in on the non mass retail Quickslinger, you're stuck with AB sitting there taunting you with his presence as not Slingshot, if you're a Slingshot/proper G1 Superion fan.

Some people don't care. Good for them. Others of us do. We have as much right to our opinion of AB as anyone else. For me, he's just part of Ultra Prime's motley crew of random misfits that don't fit else where (for now mainly that means he serves as stilts along with Off Road for Optimus while Huffer shields his chest and Bombshell attaches to his gun, meanwhile, he's just got stubby little OP arms... LOL)

They launch military satellites, I guess.

Aren't astronauts part of the military somehow? Major Nelson and Major Healy were astronauts and in the military anyway, good enough for me.

The way I see it though, Alpha Bravo has been shoe-horned in as an Aerialbot, just as Powerglide has.

So I don't get why some people have so much hate towards Alpha Bravo for being introduced as an Aerialbot, when the exact same thing has been done to Powerglide but those same people don't seem to mention him. If people are going to hate on Alpha Bravo, then hate on Powerglide as well, he was NEVER an Aerialbot.

I think the lack of uproar over Powerglide is that he can be easily ignored. I don't feel the figure sacrificed anything to incorporate the gun mode, they didn't "Blackjack" him by making an integral part, and you can just easily sit him with the other Legends mini-bots instead of having Superion man-handle him.

Powerglide isnt an aerialbot. That is unless you care about a bio on the back of a card written in 3 languages. I never even tried the gun mode. Never will, its dumb looking. Superion already comes with a gun.

But to entertain your statement, ill say this...Hasbro didnt paint powerglide to resemble an aerielbot and shove him down our throats. Powerglide is OPTIONAL and always was. Alpha Bravo wasnt always optional. Thankfully now he is.

Ill even go out on a limb (pun intended) and say slingshot was always planned after the alpha bravo scandal. Look at the wings of an AV-8 Harrier vs. the wings of an F-4 Phantom. The wings angle down from the top of the Harrier just like the Fireflight mold. Even the tail resembles a Harrier more than a Phantom. So in reality the mold was meant to be slingshot. Fireflight is the repaint.

So then logically hasbro planned to release Slingshot anyway. Alpha bravo is and was always meant to be his own dude. So there is no beef. Also if you look at my picture of the two, there are actually allot of differences between the two's color pallets, maps, and hues.

So do I. Same reason I dont like redecos and retools too much. My favourite part of this hobby is figuring out a new transformation and that aspect is removed from me with each redeco to a mold I already have. I know the answer is to simply not buy them (and I wont, as is the case with the upcoming 84 bot limbs), but I would of course feel more inclined to buy more products if they were not repeating molds.

Hasbro didn't paint Alpha Bravo to resemble an Aerialbot either. His colors aren't Silngshot's colors. Slingshot was white and red, not white and orange.

"White and orange" belongs to Evac, not Slingshot. So there you go. Alpha Bravo can be a CHUG Evac with a new name.

Pretty much this I imagine. Hasbro really hasn't done much to advertise Powerglide as an Aerialbot as well. Maybe a few pics of Superion holding the gun, but most of the art, posters, boxes show the 5 standard body parts and some people feel that one doesn't belong. (I actually kind of like AB, though I wish I'd know about QS before I bought him...)

Powerglide is a lot like Bombshell. Robot mode looks original, Jet mode looks original... 3rd mode is iffy at best. (Personally I REALLY don't see bombshell's at all... but Powerglide barely holds the form is often too heavy for Superion to hold...)

So Powerglide is easily ignored by fans, buyers and pretty much Hasbro... Alpha Bravo?? He's a lot harder to ignore. he's shown in all the posters, and was the only limb option available.

Agreed!

I have not been very pleased with the instructions on MOST of my transformers and 3pp figures. Always seems to be a step missing or the picture/arrows are unclear... and sometimes in foreign languages.

I'll try to follow it on my own... but yeah, the first time something doesn't fit or doesn't want to pop the way it looks like it should I'm online looking up transformations! At $100+ for a lot of these... I do NOT want to break it first day.

Frankly I'm shocked at the number of reviews I've sat through that do not SHOW the transformation... I can see the still pictures just with an image search... Video means I want to see it move! ;)
