Is anyone else just getting a...a cruel sense of irony seeing that First Aid is the leg in a combiner here? *CAUGHCAUGHambulonCAUGH*

My God those bots look awesome, so much variety in their torso size and deco it's amazing they all combine together still.

Can't wait for first aid,he just looks perfect,incidentally surely his alt mode is 100% prowl,just need a big set of bull bars on the front.

the original first was my first ever combiner limb and defensor my first gestalt So this is 100% a buy,especially since it seems to be coming out before menasor in the UK

He looks fantastic to me. I would have preferred the head be black but that's not a complaint, there's too much to celebrate. Looks like justice done to one of my favourite childhood toys. :)

that Hot Spot mold looks nice it has potential as some other fire trucks IE the one guy from super god master force , RID 2001 Optimus and or Rescue bots Heatwave who gotten a major upgrade to take on both 'cons and Morbots :lol: :D ;) though their combination gimmick would have to be removed

oh and if it does get retooled into onslaught .....

timelines nexus prime / shattered glass heatwave RID 2001 mega-octane :-B :-B :-B :-$

He's easily my favorite Scramble City torso-bot (though my favorite gestalt is Computron, and I don't really care for Defensor), but Hot Spot looks unexpectedly FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC. He's literally perfect, totally spot on, and I can't wait to find him.

looks to be the best tf ever. gdo hotspot was a favorite. looks better without groove. the only downside are his eyes in torso mode. any thoughts on fixing his eyes? torso mode looks as stable as superion.

Aw **** it, who am I kidding, these guys look great. First Aid, my favorite Protectobot, has an awesome mold and is surprisingly distinct from Offroad, as is Streetwise (who happens to be my second favorite) from Deadend. Blades is G2, so that's almost an instant win. Rook is badass. Hotspot is badass.

My wallet's only hope is that Rook and Hotspot get retooled into other characters that I want soon.
Back at it again!

Jeez Hasbro! I got bills to pay!!

Where the heck am I going to put a third combiner?? I'm going to have to do something because this is looking good.
I have been into transformers since 1984.
While I love G1 I also love new innovations and takes on the characters.
I prefer official Hasbro releases of stuff for the most part
I'm not a huge fan of Japanese original Transformers media or designs.
It's easier for me to say which are my LEAST favorite toy lines: Beast Machines, Robots in Disguise.

HA! Took the words right out of my mouth.

But I must say that I don't find Hotspot's alt mode too great. Very little of it cries out firetruck to me. Unlike the Universe mold, this one has a thinning midsection which looks a bit odd, as if the truck is segmented. I have a feeling the alt mode will look much better once its repurposed for Onslaught. Robot mode for Hotspot is Spot-on though :DANCE: And I really love the way they incorporate the ladder in torso mode, it is ingenious.

I can't wait for these guys. The Protectobots were the first combiner group I had back in the day and still one of my favorites. These guys all look great.

I just hope that Groove attaches to the chest better than Blackjack does. That really disappointed me.

Hotspot looks good. The combine mode also looks good. My hopes for Defensor: That he holds together in gestalt mode better than Menasor, and that he balances better. I love Menasor, but the Motormaster arms pop out too easily from his sides, and he overbalances a lot.

In general, I like all the combiners. My only beef with the design is they all lack a proper 'butt'. They just have a codpiece that flaps down and covers the front, but the back... not so much. From behind you can tell what's missing.... (literally)

To RiddlerJ:

You can fix the Blackjack problem by putting floor polish (or super glue) as a coating for the pegs on Motormaster. Coat them, let it dry, and the pegs become 'thicker' to the point where blackjack won't flop out. Ditto for Motormaster's arms to keep them from popping loose if you rotate Menasor's gestalt arms. I pretty much wound up using floor polish on ALL of Motormaster's gestalt joints to tighten them up. It makes a world of difference.

Is it silly that I kind of want an Alternate Defensor at some point?

Hot Spot => Inferno
First Aid => Ratchet
Streetwise => Prowl
Breakdown => Red Alert
Off Road => RID Strongarm

I mean, it's essentially the same 'theme' of emergency response alternate modes, but an entirely different character. Not saying I'd want it over Bruticus, just saying that it would be neat. Or maybe what'd be neat is if we simply wound up getting enough CW characters we can make up characters like that ourselves. We're already getting Prowl, Ratchet, Ironhide, Mirage, and Sunstreaker, right? Given the available molds, Red Alert, Trailbreaker, and Sideswipe seem like no brainers, and Grapple, Hoist, and Wheeljack are in the realm of feasible.

I never do much with the 'Scramble City' aspect because I don't like to break up sets of established characters, so I guess I'm just excited to get some Combiner Wars characters that are random additions to the line, with no particular gestalt identity defined, but I really want a LOT of those characters, to increase the number of possible combinations.
Check out my books, Titanomachies and Divine Retribution, on my blog!

I will be all over Defensor when He is released. I don't really know if I will get Groove right away. I almost would rather he turned into something like a sword or shield since Defensor's chest plate is already damn near perfect. Rook looks like a really cool toy.

The fact Discharge was made/confirmed female with the reissues only makes it worse #-o

Should Bruticus be in the works (we wouldn't see him until Fall with reveals for next year), then I got something more probable: Guard City vs. Battle Gaia ;)

- PotP Punch head
- TR Galvatron right arm (the gun one)
- CW Brake-Neck/UW Wildrider, CW Offroad
- TR Twinferno & Grotusque
- Greenlight, Lancer and PotP Elita-1 (plus repro Victorion hands and feet?)
