At what point is something NOT considered a redeco at this point?
Honest question. I see the term thrown around a lot...but I really don'the see much in common here. Granted I come from MOTU and Marvel where most new toys are straight repaints on the same body....

Motormaster seems to have more new parts than parts in common with Optimus as well. Pretty much only the legs and a few other odds and ends are actually the same.

william-james88 wrote:Reshell is a good term to use We could say retool too. What would we call the Prime beast hunter toys then, reshells or retools? Someone correct me if I am wrong but two seperate molds must still be made for these two toys to be manufactured right? The only cost Hasbro is truly saving is preliminary design work and Takara's engineering fee, right?

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.

I think the proper grammar would be "hell of a nice foot."

I know walmart in canada sells their deluxes for 19.99$ but its in canadian currency so not necessarily a price increase over last year if we convert.

Why even bother buying a toy, That you hate so much?
Also, it strikes me as odd that Offroad and Rook aren't getting the same hate.
That's partly to do with how well they do or don't fit in with their teammates. Alpha Bravo stands out more as a helicopter among jets than Offroad as a pickup among assorted vehicles, or Rook as an armored police vehicle with a bunch of other police vehicles. Mind you I like Alpha Bravo, and it doesn't bother me personally, but I can see where some people are coming from.

Alpha Bravo is no more out of his place among his teammates than Swoop is, and he at least fits the team name. which is more than Swoop can say.
Swoop's altmode isn't a dinosaur.william-james88 wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:Did anyone noyice that both of the new recruit for the Stunticons have an axe, by the way? Swoop the Sinobot? As in G1? The outcast in terms of names on that team is Grimlock, not Swoop. But maybe I understood you wrong.

Pterodactyls aren't Dinosaurs? What's the next thing you'll say, that velociraptors were covered in feathers?

WIKI wrote:Pteranodon was not a dinosaur. By definition, all dinosaurs belong to the groups Saurischia and Ornithischia, which exclude pterosaurs. Nevertheless, Pteranodon is frequently featured in dinosaur books and is strongly associated with dinosaurs by the general public

This happened to me Thursday night when I was transforming Breakdown for the first time. The windshield is supposed to fold back far enough far enough to give the hood clearance to fold all the way to flip and fold over. The windshield hinge would not budge past the midway point. After referring to the instructions and confirming that windshield should be pushed further, I confidently applied more pressure to move the windshield into place. Instead, it snapped.
The windshield is pretty thin near the hinge, which is part of why it broke. If it feels firm and won't budge into place , I discovered that you can get more leverage by flipping the car over, moving the connector port, and using the dagger to push the hinge into place. This way won't place stress on that thin piece of plastic. Don't make the same mistake I did.shajaki wrote:I heard that too. Can confirm. My local TRU also has the $19.99 pricetag.
