Weapon: Vibro-Axe
Not a figure I'm interested in, but it's cool to see that he comes with his traditional Seeker wing mounted weapons. Either that's a recent addition, or I just didn't notice them before.

By cheating, using the pegs and windows merely as support: they just literally hang in there loosely more or less.

Again, the pegs in the Motormaster/Optimus Prime mold chest are only for the Blackjack mold. Trying to force other figures on those pegs can and will result in breakage, there have been instances of the Seeker hands breaking after attempts of pegging them in.

to those with concerns of being "not G1 enough", i subscribe to the notion that classics/generations is meant to be a modern updates of old timey characters. not direct updates of old characters with modern engineering, thats what the MP line is for.

so things like the slight change of menasors head thingies, im quite OK with ;)

I'm torn between getting the Leader or the Legion of Thundercracker now. Both have their perks. One being a lot cheaper, the other looks really imposing. At least I have a while to think before he comes out.

Many of the CHUG molds were pretty much spot on in both modes with the exception of modern engineering. This includes the seeker mold, rodimus, bluestreak mold, tracks mold, cyclonus, the new arcee, blitzwing, etc. Also the beast wars CHUG figures are pretty much spot on homages to. Not all the CHUG figures are neo.

Looks like closing Menasor's chest cavity provides a faux-Blackjack look with the two silver 'windows' on the chest. Also has a vague skull on the chest, which is pretty awesome.

I feel closed definitely looks better than open and empty, but I also now find myself doubting Blackjack's merit. I think I might like the visible silver and purple truck components connecting to the arms.

The chest pegs are an awkward shape and appear to be slightly larger than a standard 5mm peg. Also Thundercracker's hands are open which are more likely to be weaker than a TF with closed fists (like Bombshell).

I fixed this by removing a small amount of plastic from each peg and now Thundercracker attaches perfectly without any breakage.

I believe that's our first look of the compartment being closed. Certainly does call into question of Blackjack's necessity. I might still get him, simply because the Decepticon Legends are pitifully outnumbered by the Autobot Legends on my shelves.

Like Prime, it seems to be a dual homage: closed, it resembles the Cartoon Model, opens with Blackjack it calls back to the original toy. Have we figured out the chest detailing yet? I'm not buying the AoE Galvatron bit... :-?

I actually don't have a problem with that approach, as long as there will be something in the MP line to do that. Thundercracker, for example, have fun with him. What I get concerned over is when you start to hear things like the new Generations Constructicons being repackaged in the MP line. I'd hate to see that happen at all, but that big weird noggin on Menasor is too much to bear should the Stunticons be ported over as well. That being said, I know that was a rumor, and there's probably nothing to it, but that's where my concern lies. Make 30 member Aerialbot teams in the generations line, I don't care, but leave MP alone
