the individual figures are a bit disappointing, but I think we're all here for the big guy himself anyway, and he looks *amazing*

Long Haul would take a bullet for his grandson, but not in the face. That's how he makes his livings.

I gotta say, The Constructicons/Devastator are some of my favorite dudes from G1, and seeing them like this makes me want to switch jobs to something that pays more! Wow. All of them are perfect! Mixmaster is backwards, and I ain't even mad! Longhaul looks like a dumpy (heh heh) little guy and I love it! XD

I need dis.

Long Haul saw the Grim Reaper, and he kicked him in the stones and spit in his eye, and told him it ain't his time yet.

Wow these look surprisingly good. The detail is there too unlike the recent Combiner Wars figures.

The only sad thing is that Mixmaster gets a derpy cabmode again. TFC, Maketoys and now Hasbro are giving him the short end of the stick. I hope they alter him a bit before his release. All of the vehicle modes are very G1 and he looks so futuristic that i don't know what's the front or the back of him to be honest. Maybe he is mistransformed?

Funnily enough I think the thing that bugs me most is that mixmaster's barrell doesn't roll.

The individual robot modes aren't the best they could be.. Granted. Once I get all conifers I think I'll follow same pattern as my g1 displays... Superion and devy in combined mode.. Stunt icons in individual robots.

I still can't get over as to how close they are to the original robot modes most of these are.

the devy combined mode definitely follows that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts
My personal prime collection so far in descending order of how great i reckon the toy is -
FE Prime, Silas Breakdown (Powerizer), Dreadwing (Powerizer), FE Bulkhead, Voyager StarScream (Powerizer), Ratchet, Soundwave, Arcee, Voyager Megatron (Powerizer), Wheeljack, Thundertron (Powerizer), Ultra Magnus (Powerizer), Knockout, Cliffjumper, Bumblebee,Airachnid

Nope, that's how he is. He actually is based on a real type of Cement Truck which seems "reversed" with the drum over the cab, a so-called "front discharge" model instead of the traditional "rear discharge".

Let the dirty jokes commence.

And plus, with the way they arranged mixmaster on the show floor, people could always just pose him reverse in alt mode and it wouldnt look too bad:

You know guys, at first I was a bit turned off by the individual robot modes (no front discharge from me). But then I looked at the original G1s and HOLY SH!T, this is one serious upgrade.

I think Devy looks great...all this talk bout durability, design, etc..sheesh, cant we wait till we have it in our hands?? :BANG_HEAD: Its a 18" Tall Devestator that doesnt cost $600+ so Im good

And Mixmaster...they have him facing the wrong way on display at Toy Fair and he is based on a REAL WORLD mixer...granted, I had never seen one like it till someone posted a pic on here during the "wheres his cab" debate. My thanks to whomever enlightened us, and bravo, you were spot on brother!!

Whether you believe this or not, the ability to produce something better is not a prerequisite for not liking something. In other words, I don't have to be capable of designing a better toy to be allowed to not like this one.

Which is fortunate, because I think these look cheap. I don't like the hollow gaps, I really had a good laugh at the elbows on most of these guys, and I think Devastator in general is underwhelming. I thought he looked better in the Nuremburg picture, though, and even then he was not all that impressive. The bots do certainly look like a nice update of the G1 figures though, and Scrapper especially looks nice in robot mode. I think Long Haul looks real sad, but I do realize that it's probably a terrible looking figure in order to satisfy his role in the combined form.
If these were 10-13 bucks separately at retail, I would most likely be all in. For 150 though, it's pretty much an impossible sell for me.

All I can say is that the rest of the Constructicons have a decidedly European feel to them in terms of design but Long Haul is 100% American and very obviously in a supervisory role. Are we sure that he isn't part of the DotM Wreckers crew? He looks like he should have a "Body by Budwiser" bumper sticker plastered on his front bumper. :P

Here's hoping that G2 redeco of Devastator for Comic Con turns out to be true!

Maybe they'll do some paint magic and paint the bridge of Devastator's "shades" the same color as his face, to give him the two-eyed design the G2 toy had.

Also, it's been a long time since I had the G2 Constructicons in hand, but did the individual members have yellow Eyes or Red? I know Devastator had Yellow eyes, but I can't remember what the members had.

I like keeping tabs on the rumours. Our old pal Chuck had previously reported that these same constructicons would be released as individual MPs in Japan. While this does not outright prove that rumour false, I really dont see these as MP material, especially for individual release (though the combined form looks like an MP and fits the scale). So Chuck are you having doubts on that rumour too?

10-13 Bucks?!? Deluxes aren't even 10-13 bucks (such a random amount #-o ). Hell, I honestly don't remember a time when anything Voyager size was in that price range. :HEADHURTS:

Of course, we are all entitled to our opinions, but if someone doesn't like it can't we leave it as that instead of a long drawn out diatribe that seems intent on sucking the life out of a conversation? :BANG_HEAD:

Just a thought...
