The nerdsphere of the interwebz has been playing around with comparisons, and here are the results:

Compared to G1 Devastator.

Meaning that CW Devastator should come up to Metroplex' chest.

haha thanks for that.. didn't see the g1 devastator in the pic! yeah i have my cable boxes that he might use for a wee boost.

I actually have a knock off g1 devastator. I had the originals as a kid but the interconnectors were fragile and broke soon after. He was the first and prolly the most rubbish of the lot but they were fun!
My personal prime collection so far in descending order of how great i reckon the toy is -
FE Prime, Silas Breakdown (Powerizer), Dreadwing (Powerizer), FE Bulkhead, Voyager StarScream (Powerizer), Ratchet, Soundwave, Arcee, Voyager Megatron (Powerizer), Wheeljack, Thundertron (Powerizer), Ultra Magnus (Powerizer), Knockout, Cliffjumper, Bumblebee,Airachnid

Seriously guys. This is awesome and priced fairly. I have more chance picking this up than third party stuff.

I thought this was a forum for transformers toy fans and not "counts as" imitation toys.

I just can't get over the attitude some people have. Maybe Hasbro shouldn't even bother anymore and just make toys for robots in disguise.

These are supposed to be Voyagers, they don't live up to previous Voyager standards. It doesn't matter that they're not 3rd Party, I'm not expecting them to live up to 3rd Party standards, we would be incredibly dumb if we did.

They just look like terrible Voyager figures, seriously terrible. Every pick I see that shows just how big the individual bots are just make me sad. They look like they belong in the Legends scale, not Voyager. These even look stupid next to CW Voyager Optimus Prime.

These are Voyagers, and priced as such, so we were kinda expecting them to live up to that standard.

But again, apart from a few problems, the combined mode looks pretty great, and will surely look fantastic next to the rest of the line.

I'm liking them. I have Giant, and Herc, and still believe there is a place for this in my collection. I know there's a lot of interest in all the repaints possible for this at least by Hasbro; but I'm still waiting on my Metrotitan repaint of Metroplex, wish they would have found a place for that... Still could, I know.

What I love most is the individual bot modes being so cartoon G1. Just amazing. And I get to get all 6 for the price of two Herc members (less even).

I could see myself getting this for my boys too. They're not into Transformers much, but do like construction toys. These would be such a nice transition...and way to try to get them interested.

Which I'm guessing was the main goal in the design process. Create a large great looking Devestator, the look of the individual bots is secondary.

And that's most likely the reason behind Scrapper's "missing" elbow: in combined mode his arms stretch out to act as heels, and regular bending hinges would have been catastrophic for his stability.

I see they used the "kibble becomes weapons" trick from the Main batch of CW comibiners (and that they themselves inherited from the Energon "Maximus" combiners). Only without the scramble option.

I'll be honest, I was hoping for Prowlastator. Knew it was a long shot, but I was hoping.

This speaks heavily to nostalia, but mynostalgia is for Beast Wars,so I'm not likely to pop on this unless future pictures change my mind. RiD tempts me too much and I like the normal CW system too much better and I haven't even LOOKED yet at Magnus and the Protectobots, nor at the Rescue Bots or Kreo. It may be an expensive year, and I;m not sure I can fit this in.

He always was a great figure.

I'm kinda partial towards Mixmaster as he was my first Constructicon (with Scrapper being second)

Third was Long Haul, wasn't until I got back into collecting that I got the other three.

So yes, many times did Long Haul strut around with incredibly large legs. Image

I have no problem with the Constructicons looking like their old toys with just more articulation. That's really I want out of a C/G is the old toy with today's technology. If they can improve on the figure, all the better, but there's been more than a few figures they tried to rebuild from the ground up only to totally screw it up.

I think this guy is awesome!, for a ~$150.00 price point I think it makes it achievable for more folks/kids. While giving a really great update to a beloved G1 character/s. His scale looks like it will be flexible for more than 1 collection type. If Devy was like this when I was a kid I would have been over the moon! I mean c'mon the articulation alone is spectacular! Hasbro G1 Devy with articulated hips and knees, shut the front door! LOL

I am however concerned about the plethora of ball joints, and am I the only that thinks that Longhaul is gonna have T-Rex arm syndrome? I think he looks pretty awesome in those pics otherwise.

Then there are the knee joints on Scrapper...meh.
