Conflicting designs in one movie isn't a gift horse. It's not giving a rats.

Didn't work out so well for the trojans who accepted it without question ;-) hence the phrase

"Beware Greeks bringing gifts".

That being said, having different views is one thing, how we treat people with different views is quite another. Let's face it, this makes more sense to how he is named as last time I checked, there was no bumblebees on Cybertron.

But there big blocky still for some of them but realistic no size transforming unlike cartoon don’t get to excited you should hope it does well in box offices new fans are f transformers who are adults DO NOT WATCH CARTOONS DO NOT READ COMICS if this will look cartoon to them they will not see this except for there kids.

Yeah it looks good but it still looks like live action cartoon just hoping new fans of transformers who only watch live action movies will see this more than once and say it as it looks like live action cartoon for kids and only people who will see this are people on this site.,

Did first live action movie of Batman have him wear goofy underwear over his leather costume Keaton wore Superman did but Batman made it look realistic ungoofy whioe fans of man of steel wanted underwear over his costume same with wolverine, Hawkeye , vision in movies

Here’s my thoughts on it:

As a big fan of the movie designs I’m a little disappointed in the straight-G1 looks of Soundwave and Prime, but overall I’m ok with it because the earth mode guys like Shatter, Dropkick, and Blitzwing all still have designs that incorporate well into the rest of the movieverse. I’m willing to accept that on Cybertron these guys looked diffferent and more like their G1 selves. I would’ve appreciated a little more movieverse influence on the designs (like Ravage having one eye), but it’s not the end of the world. Still really excited for the movie! ;)^

Looking at this forum is honestly one of the saddest things I've ever seen among the Transformers fandom. For 11 years, fans have whined and complained and pouted about the LACK of G1 influence apparent in the last 5 movies. And now, for the first time in cinema, we see a beautiful glimpse of G1 inspired live action transformers. And as FREAKING excited out of my MIND I am for this, HALF MY JOY IS KILLED JUST BY COMING DOWN HERE AND LOOKING AT ALL YOU PATHETIC, SELF-RIGHTEOUS I-WILL-NEVER-BE-HAPPY-WITH-ANYTHING-IN-MY-LIFE-ESPECIALLY-WITH-TRANSFORMERS people out there!!! But WITH that being said, I am thrilled out of my pants to see what a talented director and capable writers with the ORIGINAL Transformers in mind can do with such a clever idea like this. Bravo, Paramount, you have my attention. ;)^ :APPLAUSE: :APPLAUSE:

Just makes it radically inconsistent with how sentinel, Megatron, shockwave, the fallen and dragonstorm look. If they were going to be radically changing designs they should have just started over imo.

I loved Bay's transformers and quite frankly nothing Travis knight has said has actually made me want to see this movie, quite the opposite in fact. G1 influence would be great in a new franchise not squeezed into one with a pretty well established aesthetic.

I see what you’re saying, especially after the Blitzwing complaints I’m surprised there aren’t more people that are much more excited about the movie now. At least in my case though I’ve loved the past 5 movies and I’m glad they differed from G1 and did their own thing. But hey, I’m glad you like the designs! Just don’t let other people ruin your excitement. Like with TLK, I thought it was a really fun movie but I think the overwhelmingly negative response it got from others kinda took my enjoyment of it down a bit.

I'm not saying that I know this movie is going to be amazing before it comes out but to give it a chance, you might find some enjoyment out of the movie.

There isn't a perfect...well anything so all we can do is try to find and enjoy the good more then focusing on the subjectively bad.

Comments like this remind me why it's difficult to stay rational minded and not let my emotions get the better of me which results in me making a heated comment.

Hooooooooooly crap. I figgered this trailer would make MORE people happy, not piss a different group.   I actively find this hilarious. Of course there are G1 redesigned. This is the same reason Thr Force Awakens mirrored A New Hope, I think. The old stuff made the fandom mad, thus the new director is showing us he does care by giving us something familiar. Also, I do want to point out that we see these redesigns ON CYBERTRON. Not on Earth (except for Bumblebee). While this will most likely translate to Earth, it is ACTIVELY STUPID to call a movie dirt when your biggest gripe is the redesigns that could easily be explained away.

Well, personally, as an old fart (I actually owned Micronauts and Diaclone waaay back in the day}, I was completely blown away by the Soundwave and Ravage bit. But to be fair, in response to some of the other opinions put forth, I have this to say - we each, I think, refer to our personal first experience with Transformers as "our" generation (mine being G1, or even pre-G1, but I digress).Peronally, I didn't care for Beast Wars all that much, but there were still some innovative designs and characters from that era that I really love. We shouldn't divide ourselves up along these lines so much; while I am no Bayverse fan, I still love the movies for what they represent- a version of the characters that we all love, that finally reached a larger audience that probably wouldn't have given Transformers a chance otherwise. This in turn helped grow the hobby and love for the franchise, and now we have more options for collecting, gaming, and video and printed media than ever before. And before I go, No, I do NOT want all Tf's "Geewunned" ...and Mass-shifting has - love it or hate it - been present in EVERY generation, in one form or another. don't believe me? look at Bayverse Starscream's scale, then go back and re-watch his final fight with Sam....

...back in my day, you had one alt-mode. ONE! Articulation? why, if you had enough articulation to transform, you had plenty. And if you wanted more articulation, you know what you did about it? NOTHING. You transformed, stood there with your faceplate closed, and your optics sharp, just like everybody else who didn't have ball-jointed this, and swivel-jointed that. And when your were told to, you transformed and rolled out! ...And another thing...

Optimus’ look is actually starting to grow on me. It is more G1, but his antennae/ bunny ears are still very much like his look in the first 3 movies.

Like it makes any sense for his name to be Bumblebee in the first place.

Regardless if a concept or idea sounds bad the only thing hat matters is the execution of said idea.

You should probably have an open mind and see the movie first before proclaiming it to be dirt.

Here's one of the fan girls. Dirt.
Okay, that's enough. You can dislike the new film all you want (even if it's foolish to do so based only on a trailer and a teaser), but now you're going into personal insults and that will not be tolerated. Like it's been said, there are a lot of different types of fans who like different things in the franchise. Accept it and move on. No amount of whining will change what others like.

So, now that everyone's done talking about the G1 designs and all that, let's move on to more important things. Is that Jon Bailey as Prime? It sounds like him and he's being a bit quiet about it on Facebook :-)

Most sources I'm seeing show that Cullen is reprising. Which does make me happy, however I do hope Bailey gets the chance to voice an Optimus again. One of the few things from Combiner Wars that was good was his Optimus Prime.

Weapon: Dual Low-Radiation 1 Megaton Proton Bombs
Following yesterday's post, we have yet another teaser for the Bumblebee film! Thanks to user Survivefan23, we can find the teaser from UIP Türkiye on Instagram. The teaser itself starts off with Blitzwing dropping Bumblebee off a cliff. We actually get to hear Blitzwing's voice, but instead of David Sobolov, it is possible it is just a scratch test voice actor. Bumblebee, who is wearing his Jeep kibble, scans a Volkswagen Beetle upon htting the ground. We then get some footage of Bumblebee putting on his battle mask, Charlie talking to him and a shot of Optimus Prime on Cybertron. The trailer ends with a shot of Bumblebee jumping onto a police car that looks very similar to the Energon Igniters Nitro Barricade.

We assume this is Barricade.

Note that when Bumblebee is in the tunnel, he has a Volkswagen Beetle hood chest, similar to his Speed and Power Plus toys, though this could just be a mid-transformation thing.

Click the here or the mirrored image below to watch the teaser, and tell us your thoughts on the Pub forums down below!

Grow up. The user was called a fan girl. An "insult" would be something far greater kid.
Looking to swap a takara Titan class fortress maximus head for a Hasbro US retail Titan fortress maximus head.

Would alternatively buy a Hasbro US retail fortress maximus head on its own if anyone had one for sale.

PM me.

Btw I've cited what the director has said so not just from looking at trailers and teasers. At least try to hit the target when aiming behind a screen.

Cullen not reprising Optimus Prime is the final nail in the coffin for this **** show of a movie.

Personally, I'm not keen on the G1-themed Cybertron flashbacks, they look too similar to the War for Cybertron games, and aren't very consistent with the aesthetic of the previous films. I'm still undecided on whether or not I'll see Bumblebee when it's out, while I'm not a fan of the 80's retro theme, I've always liked Hailee Steinfeld and the new Decepticons all have decent designs. If Studio Series toys of Blitzwing, Shatter and (car mode) Dropkick are ever made I'll probably pick them up. For now, Bumblebee is still sitting next to Aquaman on my 2018 movie maybe pile.
