Ya, i get that "Just Negare" was getting at, but it was done in very poor taste. Especialy concidering he/she has absolutly nothing to base her acting skills, nor does anyone know her exact role in the movie. Posts like that make the fans look stupid and imature. People say they want the movie to be more catered to the fans, but coments like this don't help.

So, does this mean I have poor taste for laughing? But Im not gonna judge yet, if she is good in TF3, yay if not, life just sucks that way.

It doesn't help the situation. Like i said, if we want to be taken seriously, then we need to be a bit more selective with our coments. Were emphisizing so much attention on this no name model...Why? Granted we don't have alot of movie news to keep us ocupied, but with so many people claiming they want more robot attention, they seem to be giving a whole lot to someone to whom we know nothing about, other than she's taking over for Megan Fox. And what gets me is a majority of these people are the same ones that didn't like Fox in the first place. So what does it matter? This is not directed at you SlyTF1. So please don't take it that ya.

So, in reading, the jist is we shouldn't criticize someone who has no acting training who has been given a lead actress roll in a major summer franchise...why? And our criticisms will halt production and ruin an arguably already ruined franchise...how?

I think we are grossley overestimating our....can I even call it influence....on this franchise. We really don't have any, I think too many of us saw the extras on the 2-disc special DVD of TF1 and read too much into Bay browsing the chat forums. And no, there is no such thing as critique karma. If one person has a heavy critique about something, that will in no way ruin a multi million dollar summer production. Blame or lack thereof is squarely on the shoulders of those in charge. Directors, Writers, Producers, and the damn Marketing people. If a movie somehow turns out bad or diffirent then how you want, regardless of what anyone else says, it's not your fault. Nor is it anyone else just because they said, "This is stupid". With that said,

This IS stupid. I mean, really, it is. I mean, people criticise Megan, which I really don't know why cause we all loved her in the first film, and she does have an acting background. She was acting waaaaayyyyyyy before she did this film. Nearly every breakout star has an acting background. An elaborate one. This gal, has none! She's a model, the personification of eye candy. Being paraded in what? A bathrobe on a dark street corner with a cigarette? I mean, how can you NOT think the worst or the most crass? If Megan was replaced with an actress with more acting experience, hell any acting experience, I wouldn't have liked it but I would have understood. But to do this, and not expect critisism? Really? Sorry, but it is pretty well....funny. And you know what? Its okay to acknowledge it. Till she proves otherwise, it's ok to be critical. Especially for those who have given Bay the benefit of the doubt, it's okay to be critical till he proves overwise. Kinda how it works. Wow this dredged on longer then I anticipated. In wrapping,

Some people complained about her lack of acting ability. Not all. I'm one of those people who are worried, but cautiously optimistic.

But what got the ball rolling in this thread, was Negare saying she should die because of smoking and become a PSA.

That's a horrible thing to say, and that's what really started the internet drama, as you put it.

The way I read it she was referring to the character.

No, what starts internet drama's is the inability of people to use the "REPORT THIS POST" button and leave things alone and let the Moderator's deal with things.

Instead people dive in and have to have their say which just inflames the situation even more.

I care about the robots. Oh well on the rest.

The PSA thing, interesting...though as Burn pointed out no more harsh then other posts or comments about Megan being run over by trains or killed off in explosions. Its all pretty much crude humor, thought that was the name of the game?

Alas, tiss pointless regardless. I think someone was just touche, perhaps a smoker? Which is understandable....though from those humble beginings it's spiraled into something much more/less offensive. Critique of the franchise, the same pro/con war of those whom like ROTF and those who don't. Which is fine, I mean the whole "war" is what makes these threads interesting and fun...but like i said it's just opinion. To read any more into it is.....foolhardy. And to blame the PSA thing would be for me to blame some other rant on quips about Megan fox because I'm an artist and so is she....doesn't stick. Aw well.....off to other posts.
