Yep. That's it. I'm good.

Nothing can spoil my mood now. I was even right about the fact he'd be an updated Mugen Calibur. The current generations designer seems to have a knack for giving us updated Robotech designs.

The only possible downside would be that we don't get an IDW style Megatron and Optimus, due to the designer's nostalgia favor. I really hope that isn't the case. I want IDW Optimus done right, there is no substitute.

I'm really disappointed with the Kre-Os. The Combiners are all monotones (I never liked that) and all new, which kills a lot of my interest in them. AoE seems to be putting all the desirable minifigures in big sets (which I don't care for), and I'm not really sure who half of the blindbag guys are supposed to be, so overall it's kind of a big meh for me.

But I do like the new helmets.

Generations Legends, Roadbuster, Jetfire. That is all. :APPLAUSE:

Actually. I have a lot to say. I'm so glad that Legends rumor was just that. Swerve, I look forward to adding you to my collection soon, my little friend.

Roadbuster looks really cool! Maybe not as slavishly G1 in alt mode as the FP figure, but I'll take it. Beats spending $100.

Jetfire does of course look amazing, but I'm really not digging that red chrome. I hope that falls by the wayside when the final product comes out. If not... might need to invest in some 3rd Party accessories.

OH. And Windblade. It's a good thing they revealed her bot mode earlier, the way she's transformed/posed here is kind of meh. The alt mode looks sweet though, she's a definite buy now.

And YAY MP Grimlock, for those who missed out. With all these releases, there's no excuse to not have him now.

Now as for AOE:

We knew there were going to be Generations, but I'm fluctuating between 'DO NOT BUY' and 'Give it a chance'. So far the most promising one seems to be Evasion Mode OP, who I might get just so my Optimus Prime shelf can have some G1/Movie hybrid love.

I was actually kind of looking forward to the classic Camaro Bee but this is not really doing it for me. I realize many of these are probably mistransformed to some degree, but it's not looking good.

Drift and Crosshairs do look pretty cool but they don't resemble their original selves in any way so I might just skip out altogether. My collection is G1-focused so without much of a connection, they're just taking up space. It's a shame too, because a blue Bugatti Veyron would make a perfect Blurr. Missed opportunity, there. I'll wait and see how Hound turns out though.

Grimlock... I dunno. He's a cool looking robot and a cool looking dinosaur, but he doesn't really look like Grimlock to me. IF I get him, I might just wait for a repaint. But I can see myself just skipping the majority of this line so far.

ALSO HECK YEAH KREONS! Is that at Jetfire I see?? :D I will continue to get all the G1-inspired guys, even though I haven't even opened any my Wave 3 ones yet. I'm waiting until I have a sufficient display area.

With all the cool toys coming down, I might have to decide between MP Ultra Magnus and a bunch of Generations and AoE cool stuff... Decisions, decisions. :???:

Wow, almost want to say "take that haters"

All the worries for nothing.

Be honest, there's never been a TF line chock full of awefull figures.

They look amazing!

Evasion Prime. .. ... almost shed a tear there. Might also be in the movie.

The new game that's coming out, .. another tear.

I iz happy. Can't wait for stuff to show up in stores/online stores.

Speaking of which. I find it kinda irritating that they happen to be re-releasing only the very Masterpiece figures which I happen own. Not even a peep about all those other Masterpieces that have been out in japan for a while. [-(

Wow... lots of CHUG love this year, too! Lots of great surprises there, can't wait to see more! And it looks like my suspicions are confirmed, at least from what I can see in the pics... Windblade's transformation does indeed look a lot like Cyclonus'... even down to the ultra-cool clamshell-calf design of the legs... gotta get at least one as soon as they hit the shelves!!!
...back in my day, you had one alt-mode. ONE! Articulation? why, if you had enough articulation to transform, you had plenty. And if you wanted more articulation, you know what you did about it? NOTHING. You transformed, stood there with your faceplate closed, and your optics sharp, just like everybody else who didn't have ball-jointed this, and swivel-jointed that. And when your were told to, you transformed and rolled out! ...And another thing...

Just saw AOE Hound. NOPE. I was hoping I could maybe repurpose him as a version of Bulkhead, but he can keep his beardy face and noodly arms. =;

Also, Jhiaxus is surprisingly different from Armada Starscream. Not bad, but I really have no attachment to the character.

I guess I'll be the turd in the punch bowl then. I was excited about Jetfire, but the wings are wrong in robot mode, and it's just distracting to me. Also, the jet mode isn't truly Jetfire, it's just a generic jet/Valkyrie. So I'm definitely cooled off on this figure. I do like the face and the head, though.

So do we have a name for the new Freightliner truck from AoE? I saw the figure in a couple of the photos.

The only 1 that seriously caught my eye is High Octane Bumblebee, and only because of the car mode.

So I'm a little pissed that there's going to be a substantial population of movie figures in the Generations line but if the line will be fully embracing its role as the line for collectors that encapsulates all branches of the franchise then I suppose they should be allowed a turn.

The various deluxe and voyager Dinobots actually look pretty cool, even if they do remind me of Bandai's DinoZaurs. I may just try and pick them all up, even if it's only to use them as dark alter-egos of the traditional Dinobots. I can't help but wonder what they're trying to do with that Evasive Mode Optimus though.

Hasbro once again presenting the Legends figures surely discredits that rumour that they were to be cancelled. Maybe they've just been delayed by a fair bit. I at least hope that that's the case. I really want that Cosmos.

I'm fairly bummed to see we were lied to about Jhiaxus being an original mould. A Sandstorm-class remould it may be, but an original mould it is not. Also got to say that seeing Tankor standing shorter than Rattrap completely kills any desire I did have for him, which admittedly wasn't much. Windblade doesn't blow me away like I thought she would either, but that might just be the paint job that's been done here.

Right now, as crazy as it may seem, I'm still looking at FansProject to full-fill my Roadbuster desire, but clearer images or the Takara version may still sway me.

And as for Jetfire. He looks great. Awesome even. But the scale Nazi within responds with a pretty stern 'nope'. I may get it just to be a stand-alone or random figure.

It's all looking pretty great though overall. My thanks to Seibertron and El Duque for the coverage.

Roadbuster and jetfire, hell yes. Wingblade, well you can never have too many fembots (except for deluxe airachnid), and tankor, rattrap and skybyte are looking good. Who knows, might get the IDW lil guys like tailgate and such, but there is one thing for sure. The movie like BBLLLOOWWSS. The only one I might get is slag, and that's a huge maybe only because I want a slag that isn't 200 dollars. But yeesh. Grimlock couldn't look more boring.

From what I've seen so far the movie line is a bit... meh.

Roadbuster and Jetfire look really great, however I've not been collection generations and on second viewing they look just to articulated to go with my G1 collection.

And speaking of G1, no reissues in a anniversary year? I would have loved Has/Tak to have reissued the Dino's to tie in with AOE.
