Will, decent list, but buddy, I don't agree past three!

Hoof should be #1, and Fracture #2, or your way, they are both amazing. But I truly, from the bottom of my heart, feel you missed out by not having Legion Springload as #3, Legion Fixit as #4, and Quillfire as #5.

Seriously, Springload is so much more fun as a legion than most any other figures over the past 3 to 4 years, he is steller! and tons of fun and makes for some great pictures, and he is 99% show accurate!

Fixit is also brilliant, cute, bouncy, cheerful, cute, adorable, posable, cute, etc. He is great.

And Quillfire is very solid, short, but really blocky and unique! He is adorable.

And since I saw the question about your standard warriors and not really your stand out types, I will attempt to rank every figure from RiD I got based on size class to answer that, in declining order of price.

Team Combiners
3) Menasor
2) Galvatronus
1) Ultra Bee

Warrior
21) Soundwave
20) Steeljaw
19) Sideswipe (TRU version)
18) Twinferno
17) Optimus Prime
16) Windblade
15) Strongarm
14) Paralon (now my BW Scorponok)
13) Blurr
12) Starscream
11) Jazz
10) Ratchet (now my IDW G1 Ratchet)
9) Grimlock
8) TAV-29 Bumblebee Supreme
7) Drift
6) Megatronus
5) Bludgeon
4) Bisk
3) Quillfire
2) Fracture
1) Thunderhoof

Crash Combiner
3) Primestrong
2) Skyhammer
1) Dragbreak

Deployers
2) Fracture
1) Overload

Battlepacks
2) Sideswipe
1) Grimlock

1-steps
1) Springload

Legions
5) Underbite
4) Clampdown
3) Groundpounder
2) Fixit
1) Springload

I'm not gonna try minicons, I liked Hammer, Slipstream, weapons Slipstream (as my Jetstorm), Divebomb, and Airazor, and that was about it. I got several, but those were the 5 I liked. Oh and Underbite wasn't bad either, and neither was Swelter. Dangit!

also, I really wanted to get Crazybolt, but he was never found in the US, and I did not want to pay the $38 that was being asked for anywhere, that was too much.

Boy do I have some good news for you:

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Hasbro-Transfor ... m570.l1313

As for legion Springload, I have him and he is good. But not perfect and not as good a toy as the others on the list. I have issues with all those fake wheels, plus there is that visible head syndrome in the back.

I do agree with most of your list by classes though (like the crash combiners, dragbreak is indeed the best). And yes, Crazybolt is the best deployer by a longshot.

As for the warriors, beyond Thunderhoof and Fracture (which are the best 2), the rest become almost as good from one to the next for a while. I am impressed you made an order (and I had to as well) but there isnt too much of a margin between Drift, Qillfire, the lobsters and the Megatronus/Bludgeon mold.

I am surprised you put Soundwave dead last though. That place goes to sideswipe for me.

Weapon: Battle Blades
So a couple of questions:
So the battlepacks, are they all worth getting? In either deco, I know it's been pointed out that the TAV Strongarm deco is the best one to go for there. I can get a hold of the prime, sideswipe and bee packs quite easily.

Crash combiners, are they worth it? Are the figures just bricks in combined form.

The combiners themselves, like ultrabee and galvatronus, are they fun to play around with?

That's.... pretty much the same I have viewed every single time.

See, for me Springload is extremely photogenic, he's cute, cheap, fun, and still fairly posable for a legion frogformer basically.
william-james88 wrote:I do agree with most of your list by classes though (like the crash combiners, dragbreak is indeed the best). And yes, Crazybolt is the best deployer by a longshot.

I had a bit of a hard time choosing between the 3 crash combiners, I enjoyed all 3. Dragbreak was the best cause of his alt modes, but the combined forms are all solid and cool.

It was kinda hard to rank them all. Bee has a door closing issue, but the Supreme's remolding is so brilliant it has to score higher.

My Sideswipe actually tabs into place in bot mode. He still can't roll in alt mode, but his robot mode is fully functional.

Soundwave's just... His alt mode is pretty shoddy, and I am not a fan of his proportions in robot mode or the way his arms create so many problems.

I have Sideswipe, and he is pretty cool. Pretty standard transformation, but most of the armor is cool. I sort of prefer to avoid the head piece, but otherwise good.

Eh, I wouldn't recommend them as $15 toys, but they are still enjoyable to a degree, especially the later ones. I am depressed that Primelock and Saberclaw were so late and never available. Those 2 looked great too.

I like the team combiners, grabbed all 3 as soon as each was available. I like Ultra Bee because of the unique 4 bot style of the team, which is fun. Menasor is good, but the weakest of the 3 to me because he is sort of skinny. Galvatronus has some pretty beefy leg bots that are fun with giant wheels, and overall he is good quality and fun. so those I recommend. Get one and try it out, they are the price of a voyager, so it's not like a $100 combiner either.

Thanks for the reply d-max :-) I'll keep an eye out for ultra bee and galvatronus, could have gotten them for a tenner each earlier this year but I didn't know much about them then.

Its 10 bucks less than the $38 price you mentionned so I thought you'd be happy. Its not too far off from what it retailed at.

I respect and love reading D-Max's point of view on these but mine differs greatly. I come at it from someone who does at least would want some kind of consistency with the toys I have in terms of scale, detailing, complexity and articulation.

The Crash combiners are indeed bricks in combined form. I wouldnt recomend them to an adult collector. For those big combiners (like Menasor and Galvatronus) I really didnt like that the torso bot didnt have hands in their own robot mode. I gave my set to a 4 year old and he seemed to be happy.

As for the Battlepacks, Bee and Sideswie are more basic than the others for some reason and have odd proportions. The thign with Strongarm, and especially Grimlock, is that they keep the same complexity as a warrior class figure, which is pretty cool. As for Optimus, I like him in robot mode, the ball joints give him great articulation and that hammer he has is epic! Doesnt have a good vehicle mode though.

It must have changed or something, it was reading $39 USD last week.

Well grimmy and fracture arrived on Saturday, and I love them to pieces. Only problem I'm finding is the stress marks on grimlock arms where the golden swords/lower jaws plug in, his left is worse then his right but it's looking a lot weaker. Don't have a bad thing to say about fracture though :D
