I still think it's very odd to buy a toy before they show off the actual new feature of it. The head could turn out like that weird Ultra Magnus head that looked like the Joker lol.

Why keep it secret if you want people to buy it, right? The only reason to hide it is if you think it will decrease sales. That's simple economics.

If it ends up being lame, the response will be brutal.

FunPub would be in a good deal of trouble with the fandom.

Or they just don't have a production sample in finalized colors yet. The head in just black plastic wouldn't be much to look at.

I think they just turn the gun around. It was also the tailpipes for Sunstreaker/Sideswipe. The engine also was always able to attach. It clasped loosly over the gun.

With Sunstreaker/Sideswipe the gun had a fixed barrel. This one looks like each mode has it's own distinct version. The engine closing over the gun wasn't an official gimmick and in this case it appears they've perfected it since they're advertising it.

I think not! I remember seeing the pictures for P/CP and having the reaction of HOLY SMOKES thats what those engine flaps are for and was the first thing I tried when I got home!

I'm glad I was able to preorder one of these. I feel sorry for those who missed out since the same happened to me with the Seacons! It wasn't about saving money for it. It was that there where so many SWEET figures being released at one time that I ran out of funds. I did feel irritated reading about someone ordering more than 3 figures as if it was an arguement waiting to happen! I do agree that fanpub should allow a 2 per order limit for one week and then open the flood gates. I barely found out that they where up for pre-order. If possible at all give us an exact pre-order date! If they did I'm sorry since I'm no longer a TFCC member.

I KNEW IT I KNEW IT I KNEW IT!!! Why couldn't I convince myself to buy an extra last night!? The figure I kept for myself could have been paid for with the money I got from an extra!

Gugh... I guess I should at least be happy I got one. All of the other members who weren't online for the past couple of days didn't even get a fair chance.

And for those of you who think that 3 days is enough you can shut it right now. Other people do have lives you know. Ya know like, jobs that don't perfectly fit such a cluster fudge of a schedule.

There should be a 3-5 max rule.

Edit: Really they're ordering more? Guess I shouldn't be that surprised. Well, I might order one extra if I get the chance. But they might have lost their rarity by then.

Stop whining. This was over the weekend, the best possible time for the entire fanbase. The Transformers Collectors' Club has everyone on a global scale in mind, not just yourself. And why are you even whining? You already have one already for goodness sake.

That's pretty awesome that they are ordering extras and bumping up their production numbers. Too bad Matty collector can't learn a thing or two from the TFCC.

Unfortunately for myself I can't pick up Punch/Counterpunch or Cyclonus just yet. Money is a bit too tight and I have to spend a few hundred on my car in the next few weeks. Hopefully the aftermarket prices won't be too insane, But if I'm lucky maybe I can get a preorder over at BBTS in the next few days.

Heheheh, but honestly I didn't plan on ordering an extra from the beginning, and I guess I still don't really want to now.

Anyway, this sight unseen stuff is still bugging me (note LiKwid's pic). I hope the next magazine shows up with some pictures of it before the next pre-orders start at the least.

I think everyone should stop arguing about this. Obviously they didn't make enough. It would be best for everyone if another run was made of this figure.

To those of you who bought it already, congrats. You didn't overpay for it - in fact, we all thought it was such a fair price that we jumped on it as soon as it was available. Everyone should have a shot at it. No need to be elitist or rude to the fans that didn't get one yet.

To those of you who weren't able to get it, that's how things like this work. It's an exclusive item with a limited run. It was available for 3 days. If you missed it, that's not the Club's fault. I doubt whatever you were doing over the weekend kept you offline 100% of the time for 3 entire days ... and if it did, it was probably far more important than buying a $60 - $70 toy. No need to be rude to those that did purchase the figure.

And to those of you complaining about people buying multiple figures ... it happens. It happens all the time. I'm sure most of you have bought multiple toys of the same figure at some point. This is a free market. I'm sure the Club wished people had bought multiples of Airazor and Astrotrain back in 2007. It's a crapshoot as far as the Club goes and as far as us purchasing the figures go. I'll never understand why companies just don't take pre-orders for things like this so that they know exactly how many they need to produce - there are a ton of ways to accomplish this.

And to everyone ... just be thankful that we don't have to deal with this regarding the main line figures like Mattel's Masters of the Universe line where figures sell out online in 5 to 30 minutes.

Luckily for me I have my email pushed to my Blackberry so I got the notification as soon as it was sent. Although I do usually check in on this site daily for info. I love technology .

just saw the email about punch/counterpunch being sold out. this is the problem i have about the pre-orders being as late in March as they were: i had no chance in hell of getting both of them. i'm hoping the cyclonus can hold out till friday, because by then i'll be able to buy it i think. really wanna get that one, because i fraked up the wing on my u2.0 cyclonus.

I agree with this on principal in that it would cut down on scalping.

However, some people legitimately order extra for other people. A number of Australian members have ordered extras for other Australian fans. They're not putting on markups, some will even lose a few dollars when the dollar conversion occurs.

So that's where a limit is bad.

At the end of the day though, FunPub, like Hasbro, don't give a toss about scalpers. As long as they get their money it's all good.

This thread is equal parts, the most ridiculous and entertaining thing on the internet right now.

This is a sensible move. Both for fans and for FunPub. Hope they're able to increase the production numbers so a few more peeps can get their hands on a P/CP.

I just don't see why so many people want the Tony Stark Cyclonus. It just looks way off, doesn't really work with the other Shattered Glass figures to me. But I do hope they get some more Counterpunch(es) made.

So to get Member Prices, I just have to sign up for the $40 Third Class Mail Collectors Club Membership???

That is correct.

So who wants to sell me their Dion once that ships out? And if someone who is also a member wants to nab me this, that would rock too.

In regards to SG Cyclonus, I'm guessing people with the Botcon set want it for completionist sake. It's also nice and shiny.

No surprises here. Like I said before: no chance in hell of me getting both. Hopefully that last 25% of SG Cyclonus can hold out till Friday so I can at least get that.
