What about the Takara MP-10? I see BBTS has Takara MP10 in stock for $189.... and '3rd run' Mp-10 Takara preorder for $219??? What's the difference between those... they're using the same advertising pictures.

I'm actively searching for the KO's though as the build quality is better (as crazy as that seems to say that - it seems to be true a lot of the time).
I've also noticed a few Shockwaves have shown up again so I don't know if that is indiciative of anything like more rejects comming through - or even some pre-samples for a Takara or Hasbro Asia restock.

But damn, Shockwave looks so good! I figure Soundwave will only get more expensive to find if I wait...can someone reassure me?

Soundwave (with 5 casettes) was ridiculously expensive until this reissue came out. I suggest you get Soundwave instead. there is much more value there than for Shockwave. And in any case, Shockwave can always get reissued.

Hope no one minds me quoting such an old post, but I didn't see anything more recent. So I ordered the Hasbro Asia Reissue of MP OP from BBTS earlier this year, and only opened it last night. The figure is awesome, but I did notice a few minor annoyances.
1) When I store the gun in the figure's back, that compartment does not fully close. It doesn't latch on to what it needs to securely enough.
2) In truck mode, the legs do not tab together at all. It's still close enough that I can easily put the trailer onto it at least.
Just curious if these are well known issues with the figure? After a quick online search, it appears to be. Also, are there any easy fixes? I can live with these issues, but if there's an easy fix, I'd like to give it a try.
Also, the absolute worst part of the whole thing is the packaging. It has to be my least favorite packaging for any item I've ever purchased in my life.

william-james88 wrote:I hear you, that packaging looks like the kind meant to be thrown away (which is what I did). And yup those problems are found on mine as well. Also, yours probably has leftover sprue marks around his legs, which is something you dont find on the Takara version (and I dont know if shaving or sanding them out ameliorates anything locking). For MPs, I try not to fix em if I can live with little things like this since messing up can be very costly.
