So, this will go slightly off topic, since someone asked, but to start on topic, as soon as Titans Returns Wave 2 comes in next week, I'll ship my POL. I live over the river from BBTS and should have everything in a day or two after that. I am excited to compare Blast Off to my head cannon Spy Streak (Hasbro's Blast Off.)

Actually, it comes partly from the TV show Friends. You see, early in the show, Monica whoo hoo'd a guy, causing him to get hit by a cab or bus. While in a coma, Phoebe and Monica were fawning over him guiltily and trying to figure out what his name would be. Phoebe suggests "Glen," to which Monica replies, "not special enough." Then Phoebe says, "Oooh, how about Agamemnon?" Monica replies, "way too special!"

Actually, as funny as that is, (and I love the self deprecating humor) it is only half the story. The other half comes from a trip I made to Gen Con. I went with a friend with a first name that started with A. She double booked herself for a gaming event, so I used her extra ticket. Since the ticket showed only the first initial, I said at the game table that I was "Agamemnon Smith, but you can call me Jake."

The nickname kinda stuck. And, while I do have a few YouTube videos floating out there, they are likely only related to online classrooms, IT, or transforming particularly fidgety 3P products.

Interesting...I wonder where that coin went...

I'm going with "Take Down" for my head cannon name for Hasbro's CW Blast Off. The name evolved from the airplane equivalent of a space shuttle blasting off, e.g. take off, but also blends in the idea of the opposite of blasting someone off, that is, taking them down. Hence, Take Down.

Wasn't one of the things about the BM Vehicons that those with Sparks got their sparks put into completely new bodies from what they had before? I mean, Jetstorm, Tankor, and Thrust didn't look anything like Silverbolt, Rhinox, and Waspinator, and Obsidian and Strika were unrecognizable to the Maximals until their names were said.

In other words, a non-Vehicon-bodied Spy Streak could potentially look like whatever anyone wanted it to look like.

I got UW Bruticus today. Boy I'm glad I waited for this set instead of getting the Hasbro version! This set is amazing! I wish I could get a couple of pictures of Bruticus uploaded but it's dark right now and I don't have enough light.

I love how each of the Combaticons are different enough in their re-tools from the original molds the characters are based on. The one with the least change is Vortex, but he gets a new head (at least I'm pretty sure it's a new head) and a four-blade main rotor, which is a really, really nice touch.

Brawl and Blast-Off are new molds to me. I think the hinged joint where Brawl's legs connect to his torso looks weird, but it tabs in correctly for me and the figure is solid. It would've been so awesome if his turret could rotate, but that's okay, still a great-looking tank. What would've made this figure more awesome was if there was a way to attack Brawl's HFG to the back of his tank mode like the G1 figure was able to do with his big twin cannons.

The Blast-Off figure is just awesome. His chest actually doesn't stick out as far as pictures on the internet seem to show. In hand, the robot mode looks very nice. His arm mode can be a little fiddly because the tabs on the tail fin are what really hold it together. A little Future might help this hold together better. Also, Blast-Off's head and neck mount can pop off if you're not careful when moving around his combiner peg, but it can be easily put back on. And it still feels solid in robot mode. I don't think any permanent damage will result from this happening.

I'm looking forward to scrambling around Brawl and Blast-Off later to see how they do as different limbs.

I have Bruticus combined such that his shoulders are flat, so that the cannons don't look so small on his back, like how Defensor's shoulders are transformed. At first, I thought he could benefit from bigger back cannons, but I found that Onslaught's stock cannons look a lot better on Bruticus when they are pegged into Onslaught's fists, with the hoses on the backs of the guns facing inwards, as opposed to mounting the guns on his backpack. The guns look a lot longer in this configuration and makes Bruticus a lot more, well, brutish. I wasn't sure if I was going to like the G1 cartoon-accurate chest plate, but I feel it adds a lot to the look of the figure instead of a plain silver or gray chest plate with just the Decepticon symbol on it.

I have no regrets with this set. It's a great addition to my collection. Now I just need to be able to afford UW Computron and Hasbro's Fortress Maximus!

EDIT: I haven't tried it yet, but I think there is a way to get Brawl's HFG to attach to the back of his turret with a hinged 5mm peg located on the back of his turret.

That's awesome that you're enjoying your UW Bruticus. That Blast-Off is especially magnificent.

Now that you guys are saying that the UW Sky Reign set may not be worth it, I think I'll just order the CW versions. It's getting fairly cheap to get all the limbs and I could live with or without Sky Lynx (I'm still only on season 3 of G1 so hopefully I'll meet him soon ).

Also, would you guys recommend UW Superion? I would have rathered get the CW version for cost purposes but I could never find Firefly, Skydive, or Slingshot, and now they cost almost as much as just buying a whole new set from Takara. Between Superion and Sky Reign, I have quite the list to catchup on
