Okay. For the cool guys 6 months ago have already noticed so I'll do it belatedly.

Hook..his face reminds me of MP-11 Starscream' face. Kind of like blowing up his cheeks (same designer?)kind off snobbish looking.

The "hook" isn't telescopic ( I wonder how the 3rd party mod attaches 'cause looking at it now, kind of scary to break or loosen the joint ) but not a big a deal, would have been more awesome it was.

I like how the head of Devs was hidden inside his torso.

Scavenger's shoulder joint scare me slag crazy! When I transformed him, both popped off.
Face sculpt to die for (this is the guy who offed Prowl with two shots!)

Bonecrusher's groin/hip connection takes a lot of getting used to when attaching it. Face? "Who are you calling inferior?"

Mixmaster? Got the face dead on.again. Not getting into the vehicle mode debate though a functional mixer barrel would have been equally awesome.

Longhaul? So cuddly wuddly! I can forgive the non functional dumpster to compensate for the gestalt feature. Also like how TT fixed those stumpy forearms. Not perfect but then, life is not perfect.

Scrapper? My favorite psychotic engineer. Love the gun metal face guard. Like Longhaul, excellent face sculpt. Plus very ingenous how TT improved on his arm articulation.

As I don't own those 3rd party versions (though I kind of lean towards Maketoys) I can't tell which one is heavier or more solid. though comparing to MP cars, they kind of like are equal in mass.

Devstar? Haven't gotten to him yet 'cause the individual bots are so awesome! (Kind of the opposite though with my other UWs as I immediately merged them into their super modes)

.........now back to re-enacting that pivotal scene in the Autobot shuttle in TFTM 1986 pew pew pew....such heroic nonsense.

Agreed, some of his stuff is totally insane, but OMG that man knows his toys and how to make even the crappiest Mecha look incredible (looking at you ToQ-Oh)

Yet he used two stick in the thumb examples like Groove and Starsaber who would not have had a snowballs chance in hell if Hb were given the chance.

Put UW Defensor together tonight. Streetwise's hips are incredibly loose so my streak with that mold continues, and the torso suffers from some bad combiner lean when you raise the arms. At least the Hasbro version of Hot Spot lasted a day or two.

Try ratcheting up the hips one notch backwards, though that in turn gives him the backward lean syndrome.

That's what I've had to do with every single torso bot I have. Some can last a day or two before leaning forward. This version of Hot Spot was really bad.

Devastator just came. And I think I just did too.

I only have ten minutes to check him out before I go to work. Almost there, baby. Soon.

I legit just fell out of my chair laughing. Good job!

Having the set for about a week now I have some more thoughts on Devastator:

1) Scrapper, Mixmaster, and Hook KILL IT. These are the best figures of the set. Long Haul, Bonecrusher, and Scavenger are nice but there's just something missing. Bonecrusher and Scavenger are the weakest basically due to a lanky design in the legs. The G1 weapons and extra joints DO make a major difference.

2) Long Haul, Scrapper, and Mixmaster combine super tight. There's been a few times where I forget where the legs end and Long Haul begins. Hook pegs in well but there's a gap, its covered by the chest plate, but it's there.

3) I'm concerned about how Scavenger and Bonecrusher attach to Hook as arms. There's no springs or a release for the clips so it's all friction. I'm concerned over time the ports or clips breaking. Scavenger doesn't peg in as tightly as it looks in the instructions, and without the chest piece securing things droops a tad.

Haven't gotten to merging Devastar yet. About the gap, compared to the 3rd party Devs (do you also own one?) might they also have that gap (feedback appreciated if you own a 3rd party to compare as I don't own any of them)?

I hate you TT............translucent looks sooooooo cool but sucks ballz 10 years from now

Clear plastic gets a bad wrap. Unless you're a kid banging his toys together it should have a long life.

I don't get the fear of clear plastic. I have 19 to 22 year old Microman toys, like the ones in my sig that are fine. Heck Beast Wars and Beast Machines too. Maybe there is something to be said about mid-west American climate. I've also never had rubber wheels or tank treads dry rot on me.

Uhhhhhhhhh, I did not bang my figure (Big Convoy) at all thank you. Of course I purchased him back in 2004 (he was released in 1999) so for a 15 year old toy that was well cared for, his translucent part broke not due to abuse.

Life is full of unknowns I'd grant you that but as a collector on our part, did care for the item to be far from abuse yet it still broke.

The crown part on G G is not so much an issue but that Starscream is.Oh mark my word, that joint in the torso.

Hellscream just did a bit of hyperbole. But the breaking is not conjecture, only a matter of time. I'd like for my expensive toys to last and not break at the seams for no apparent reasons.If it breaks apart, it should be due to my dumbness like dropping it on the floor or something.

I agree sir, the only thing I've ever had happen is one or two white figures yellowing. And MP05 rusting..other than that, no issues with the things!
