I really like the painted details on hotspots vehicle mode, but both of his other modes look really poorly painted

I still prefer my hasbro version

Yeah, hasbro's was way better where it counted, but the painted details of tt's vehicle mode are still really nice

Agreed, certain paint aspects look better, but overall Hasbros still looks better

Yeah, I'm glad hasbro painted all the sculpted detail they bothered to include (and quite nicely I might add)

That's why this Defensor is a let down to me. all that sculpted detail is not painted whereas the hasbro one is and it looks really good too

Yep, they were extremely lazy in the decision to go 'lazy G1 animation' for his deco

Anyone think TT might design the deco so the combined mode looks like galvatrons color scheme; just make up a bunch of characters and paint them up so both arms would look like his arms, and the legs would look like his legs?

LOL They're doing what I did for Galvatronus, used the replacemnt bots when the original members were released. Obviously I only had 2 limbs but was going to add Rook when I got the Takara set.

As much as I would like that idea I'm not sure what the individual colours would be like. Though generous amounts of purple wouldn't be amiss

Except they're not using a/b, they're making two 'new' characters, but, yes, they are making sure that they release every mold.

They did announce that they were making a Scourge to go with Galvatron and Cyclonus.. Im hoping its made for the combiner. That way, I would have Voyager Cyclonus, Voyager Galvatron, Keep my CHUG Scourge (because hes so damn awesome) and if they make scourge combiner limbs they would officially be my sweeps that combine with Cyclonus.

When did they announce that? The only scourge they released was Grand Scourge representing the RID character, thats a different scourge. The other scourge rumoured (g1 scourge) is rumoured as a targestmaster for titans returns. So far, there is no announcement for a combiner G1 scourge. If there is, let me know where you found that.

It would be nice if Takara moulded new hands for the galvatronus combiner so they looked more in line with the art. As for the suggestion that it's made of the moulds that Japan didn't get, well I don't see Alpha Bravo in that silhouette

Right, no alpha bravo. Oh well, that puts that theory to rest. I quite frankly have no clue what this will be. It is exciting though and I am glad I didnt succumb and buy Cyclonus yet.

I don't mind double dipping. I have my chug Cyclonus and my CW Cyclonus. CW Cyclonus represents a separate character I've yet to think about and United galvatronus can be a random new decepticon combiner. You know, my own fanon.

Because Alpha Bravo is simply a redecoed Vortex, which will see use for UW Bruticus (remember the Blast Off tease?). No, I do expect the Offroad/Crankcase and Rook heads to be used, but for the other two... unused alternate heads maybe? I know Air Raid and Skydive may still have one (going by the 2-3 heads per shell rule).

True, but this is Takara, who tends to be a bit more beholden to established looks than Hasbro (i.e. - I really doubt Takara would have conceived the Demolishor-from-Onslaught idea without Hasbro's help due to how un-Demolishor-like the Onslaught mold is).

Realistically, the legs are probably the Offroad and Rook molds, heads and all. This way, Takara has all of the deluxe toolings coverered. Since Rook doesn't look like anyone else and G1 Ruckus wasn't released in Japan (I think?), Takara will probably just make them new characters like they did with Scoop.

That said...

If it was up to me, the limbs would be blue and white and have matching Sweep heads.

Y'know....I could seriously get behind this idea.....but with Combiner Wars coming to an end soon...& Titan Wars starting......you would've thought we would have heard something about that either by or before now(but granted we've now got this silhouette....so I remain optimistic).

Becaue swindle would represent Jallguar? If thats the thinking then it doesnt work since Jallguar was the botton of the chest and not the leg. Rook works enough as a proxy to Drillhorn (better than Swindle).

I just had the thought that Takara should do a proper CW computron. Anyone know or have a guess when galvatronus will be revealed?
