I asked this same thing a while back. No idea. I can only guess it has to do with trademark issues. I even googled Formula 1 #26, but couldn't find any specific car that sports that number.Seibertron wrote:What's up with Takara and Hasbro no longer using the number "26" on Mirage, instead using number "62"?

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

But the decos are soooooooooooooo SWEEEET!william-james88 wrote:That price is a bad sign, that's the price Defensor was at due to him having to be acquired from Hong Kong and not Japan. That probably means he wont be at amiami or other japan e-tailers offering discounts.
He's a TakaraTomy Mall exclusive, so AmiAmi and HLJ won't carry them.
So Hasbro Asia probably charges more knowing they are exclusive in Japan. Hasbro Asia supplies most of BBTS's Transformers.Railbomb wrote:Actually if they wanted to do that Ironhide would have been orange. As was mentioned that's "unpaintable" plastic, so it was never going to be painted.RiddlerJ wrote:They should've used Brawn for the Offroad redeco. He changes into a truck too, and already has the kibble behind his head. Plus no really distinctive chest details to get ruinud by the combiner peg (unlike Ironhide and his windshield chest) It also would've given us a classics Brawn that's bigger than a legends
Cloud Brawn isn't big enough for you?

Anyway, there's still many classic combiners to come out, many that will need brand new molds. Bruticus is already announced, but there's still Predaking, King Poseidon, Computron, and some others I may not know.
Speaking of Combiner OC, why not make a DINOBOTS combiner? A Grimlock torso and 4 limbs. If Optimus can combine, so can they. And people have been asking for one since forever. We ALMOST had it with PCC.

1: If Takara or Hasbro were to redeco the aerialbots into 4 seekers (SW, TC, AS, SunStorm) with new heads (the same one), would that recieve more cheers than groans?
2: Predaking is probably being kept for a Titan Class release, since he wasnt scramble city.
3: Of course, you are referring to dinosaur molds right? because people were throwing out the idea of recolouring the stunticons in dinobot colours and I know that would have pissed me off to no end. I would rather have redeco'd dino molds with new heads than just vehicles pretending this is their "before earth" modes.

Overall, I think The TT set looks better. But I already have Hasbro OP, and I'm unsure if I want these guys at all. Too many other CW toys I want more.
Great lookin' bunch, though

Is it possible that they could be referring to the possible complexity of getting a machine to paint the details on the concave surfaces?
Or was everyone referencing the spark-looking thing?
Also, I would buy that, slap the 'nemesis' look onto any figure, I would consider getting it

Optimizzy wrote:you know, I'd just like for them to come out with some random decepticon limbs to use with some of these combiner torsos. They had the play pattern of making your own combiner but then they give you only enough guys to make a certain one. I want to make my own very decepticon version of Galvatronus to be next to Menasor, Superion, and Defensor. That's why I liked them introducing extra characters but they are not doing it enough. Two waves of '84 autobot limbs. Blah!
And I'm with sabreblade, I really wished they went the energon route with Grandimus Convoy.

I beg to differ. I am actually certain it will happen and it not being done for CW tells me it will. Hasbro said they plan on doing one Titan Class toy a year from now on and there arent that many in the Western fiction that are well known. We already got Metroplex and Devy. Next up would probably be Fort Max, and from there all we have left is Unicron, Pimus, Omega Supreme and Predaking. So yeah, if a Predaking isnt released for CW, then we will surely see one within the next 5 years.

AHA YES! Perfect, thanks for coming to my rescue, I knew there were some pretty glaring omissions.
