No. You are not.NuclearConvoy wrote:Am I the only one who thinks that Devastator being bigger than the other combiners is s cool revamp to his character and makes him seem even more awesome?

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

He's restraining a Decepticon prisoner guarded by Optimus, Blossom, that purple-haired girl, and himself.ZeroWolf wrote:Why is metroplex keeping devy straight?

The way I'm having my Combiners displayed is to have Superion vs Menasor and Defensor vs Bruticus. Then on a seperate shelf I'm going to have Devestator embroiled in an epic battle against my Third Party Dinobots.

Me third or fourth this. Given how the real life construction vehicle reference images posted here in the thread, not surprised as all. Did you guys see how a "Scrapper" type vehicle can fit 20+ people in its shovel doohickey? A fighter plane's cockpit can just fit a maximum of 2 in it's cockpit.
Though really, people so uppity about Dev's size but no one complains about how Megs and Soundwave can "mass shift" in the cartoon?
Its fiction guys. A bit of suspended belief is a given when we got into the Transformer mythos.
Now activating "jerk" mode.........hows about anyone complain about the hollow arms of the limbbots in Superion? Or have I been living under a rock and just missed the complaints?
"Jerk mode" off

That's a good point imo. Those types of details are what make the previous releases of these G1 characters so good.
IF I needed/wanted a G1 Smokescreen in my collection, I wouldn't want him to only be a leg of a combiner...
Yet, as an individual, he's not G1 enough for me in form, color distribution, or details such as the door "wings" and shoulder canons.
I totally get why Hasbro made these new incarnations... It makes sense.
And if it helps the line as a whole, that's cool with me.

Yeah. I do like the new figures. I like some of the re-imagining. But, like you say, some of the details that define those characters would be sorely missing. I don't think any of these will replace my Classics versions. But I will still enjoy fiddling with the CW versions when I get them.

CW Wheeljack is not alone in the "no back wings" department:
To name a few.

If you consider Powerlinking combining
What are the chances of TakaraTomy releasing Sky Reign?
Sky Lynx has a team of limbs: Smokescreen, Wheeljack, Hound, and Trailbreaker.ZeroWolf wrote:Are Takara releasing cyclonus? Cause I've not heard anything about him...and he's in the same league as sky lynx being a torso with no set team.

Takara's releasing Optimus Maximus in Unite Warriors, though.Madeus Prime wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Sky Lynx has a team of limbs: Smokescreen, Wheeljack, Hound, and Trailbreaker.ZeroWolf wrote:Are Takara releasing cyclonus? I think he means that they aren't officially combiners by the Japanese perspective. As I don't believe the IDW comics have been translated over there, hence, Takara has no perspective on the fiction, hence, they wouldn't release a character that combines when in the original cartoon, he didn't.
