There is absolutely no relation between the two characters outside of them both being named silverbolt.

Silverbolt is an Autobot Aerialbot from the Generation 1 continuity family.


Silverbolt's character is defined by his extreme fear of heights and by his refusal to bow to it. He constantly struggles to project the image of a brave, determined soldier to hide his fear from others. Optimus Prime named him leader of the Aerialbots in the hopes that worrying about them would give him something else to focus on besides his own phobia. This has proven true and, not surprisingly, the mature, responsible Silverbolt makes an excellent commander.
He can combine with his fellow Aerialbots to form Superion.

Silverbolt is a Maximal from the Beast Era portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

"Pure, strong, and fast," Silverbolt's sense of right and wrong is so overdeveloped his fellow Maximals wonder if his programming has a glitch. If you're going to go out of you're way and 3rd party prices just get a Timelines Slipstream. Probably save money in the long run anyway. She's not too hard to obtain. Or just don't buy or expect 3rd parties to fix something not broken to the general audience. 3rd parties don't ever contribute to exclusives or takara products because takara's products are about as limited as theirs.

I don't usually spring for takara only characters, but damn I love this Slipstream...and since I have hopes that we'll get a Blackarachnia for the Beast Wars anniversary and we'll be getting a repaint of one of Victorion's limbs as Nightbird I'm gonna call skip on the other two.
