I wonder if MP Shockwave will be able to hold either WST Shockwave or CW Legends Shockwave like that.

Yeah but I think its more as an homage to the toy and I am perfectly fine with it:
Transformers G1 1985 Shockwave (Laserwave) Gallery
This really looks like this MP is more of a straight up redo of the toy in better proportions and better articulation. Thats what a lot of people had asked for.

Looking at the animation models Cyberpath posted, I see now that he did have a backpack, but that it was low enough on the body to not be that noticeable, hence my initial confusion.fenrir72 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I wonder if/hope that backpack is detachable in robot mode. What episode. As far as I recall, it was Pat Lee who ditched the backpack.

After seeing this gif and the original artwork this figure is just about perfect, Wow!

Wait, do you think he's gonna have a detachable gun barrel? You guys may or may not know how much I hate parts-forming...
fenrir72 wrote:Though to early to tell, maybe the gun barrel functions like a mat, detaches and folds around the existing back pack or simply you just put it aside.

I can't imagine they'd do a MP figure and have a part like that set aside. Reeks of laziness.
But I agree, it will become part of the backpack in some fashion. It could even make up the backpack entirely.
If there are lights and sounds, they may just go with the small button batteries rather than large AA batteries to save on space.
Or just ditch it all together, are lights and sounds really important in a Masterpiece figure?
